Pimp my wii ( Smart way to use it )

Good evening everyone!

Since I'm sick of seeing some people say, update your wii with pimp and do " launch and fix tests " then, you go AAAAAAAAA, until the end .

I'm stepping up , to give you a piece of advice!

When Pimp offers to update ios 249 , 250 , 222 , 223 , 224 , don't do it and set the install slider to NO .

Use the installed cios!

Why?

Pimp in version 2.11 , installs rev 20 as 249 on base 38 , 250 on base 57 and on top of that it isn't the b version ( tested with wiiflow , the b doesn't show up ).

I'll be less strict about 222 , 223 , 224 , but here's the winning config , if you want a wii that's capable of doing everything .

249 rev 17 ( base 38) click here

250 rev 20 b (base 57) click here

222 on hermes V4 ( base 38) click here

223 on hermes V5.1 ( base 37) click here

224 on hermes V5.1 ( base 57) ( same link as above )

That's the configuration I use

More detail on the base of cios 223 and 224 would be welcome

Same question as actarus1973 about rev21 which I still haven't had time to test (shame on me

)

Ok, I'll put up the links

And it's going to become a tutorial!

It's too early to say anything about rev 21 which I haven't installed, but feedback indicates that rev 17 is still the best (except in loading times).

I confirm that hermes 5.1 works really well, but V4, same as for rev 17, is the best!

And so when we do AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA in pimp, we end up with only 5.1 and rev 20.

Anyway no triforce, rev 20 doesn't support the emulated nand, and not the best Cios!

hermes v5.1 202/222/223/224, ciosxrev21 base 57 on 249 and base 58 on 250.

Nothing to complain about with this config'!

I'm asking because in a tutorial for installing the Hermes Cios, I read that you had to install the 202 on base 60. What are the differences between installing on base 60 and 57?

As for me, I'll wait a bit for the d2x since I use wiiflow as USB loader and an NTFS HDD.
Apparently, version 6 handles the different formats but there's still the issue with the covers
