The 4.2 tutorial contains an error in my opinion: you shouldn't copy to the root of the SD the file "ios36-64-v3610.wad" like in version 4.1 but rather "ios36-64-v3351.wab" (so version 3351, required in 4.2)
You can get it (like all the required wads by the way, with NUSD 1.3 ((https://www.mediafire.com/?nqjdzmzzjmk) )

Note; remember to check the "Pack -> Wad" box

Le tuto en 4.2 contient selon moi une erreur : il ne faut pas recopier a la racine de la SD le fichier "ios36-64-v3610.wad" comme en version 4.1 mais "ios36-64-v3351.wab" (la v 3351 donc, demandée en 4.2)
Tu peux la récuperer (comme tous les wad demandés d'ailleurs avec NUSD 1.3 ((https://www.mediafire.com/?nqjdzmzzjmk) )

Note ; penser à cocher la case "Pack -> Wad"

I have an issue:

White Wii, about 1 and a half years old

until not long ago on 3.2E with HBC and the gamma loader as a channel for my DVD-R games

now on 4.2E: I followed the tutorial but after installing neogamma as a channel (which works fine except with new super mario) the USB Loader GX channel crashes (whereas launched via HBC it works)

wiiflow crashes miserably every time it's launched

did I miss something?



[EDIT]: I skipped the part on the IOS STUB 222/223 (no guitar hero) but I also skipped the Cios Hermes one - Installing Cios 222, 202 and 223 from HERMES

I don't know if that was a good thing or not? can I add them afterwards?

Wii blanche, environ 1 an 1/2

jusqu'a ya pas longtemps en 3.2E avec HBC et le loader gamma en chaine pour mes DVD-R de jeux

maintenant en 4.2E : j'ai suivi le tuto mais apres avoir installé neogamma en chaine (qui fonctionne bien sauf avec new super mario) la chaine USB Loader GX plante (alors que lancé via HBC ça marche)

wiiflow plante lamentablement a chaque lancement

ai-je raté un truc ?

There's no problem adding them afterwards. I wasn't sure but it seems that from V749 onwards (which is a while ago now.. we're up to v877) you need to patch IOS222 and 223: see site https://usbloadergx.koureio.net/downloads in the "CIOS" section, since they provide the modified IOS you can assume it serves some purpose.
Since UsbLoaderGx and WiiFlow work in very similar ways, you can assume the issue you're facing is the same.

Il n'y a pas de problème à les mettre apres coup. Je n'etait pas certain mais il semble qu'a partir de la V749 (qui date quand meme.. on en est a la v 877) il faille patcher IOS222 et 223 : voir site https://usbloadergx.koureio.net/downloads dans la partie "CIOS" comme ils fournissent les IOS modifiés on peut supposer que ca sert a quelque chose.
Les fonctionnement de UsbLoaderGx et WiiFlow etant tres similaires, on peut penser que le pb que tu rencontres est identique.

I followed wigen's for my wii but it's missing some info, here's my setup:

white wii one year old, updated to 4.2e before any hack.
then bannerbomb + hbc I put just hbc on the hackmii choices, cios-rev 14 usb loader gx
there I get a black screen.
I tried wii flow and there I get "IOS 249 rev9 or later is required".
I'd like to know from which level to take your fix, my goal is to read games from a hard drive. thanks in advance for any help.

j'ai suivi celui de wigen pour ma oui mai il manque des info voila ma config :

oui blanche d'un an,mise a jour en 4.2e avant tout hack.
ensuite banerbomb + hbc jai mi que hbc sur les choi de hackmii ,cio-rev 14 usb loider gx
la jai ecrant noir.
jai tenté wii flow et la jai ca "IOS 249 rev9 or later is required".
je voudrai savoir a partir de qu'elle niveau prendre ta soluce mon but c'est de lire des jeus sur disque dur. merci d'avance pour toute aide.
