hello, I just took the plunge!
I followed the tutorial to the letter, launching games works from Wiiflow.
The only problem is the following:
I can no longer access the System-Menu (the home page),
when starting the wii I get a black screen so I'm forced to go through preloader to access HomeBrew.

How do I get the home page to display??

so clearly there's still a problem with this part of the tutorial.

So you need to:
reinstall the 4.2E system menu with wad manager

there, no more semi-brick and no more preloader either

.

then:
Try to launch pimp my wii 1.32 in "test and fix issues" mode (press A for everything without changing anything), if it finds errors, redo it until it doesn't propose anything more.

reinstall the patched jodi preloader. here's the version with an update to the hacks.ini file. the installer stays the same:

OK! the simple reinstall brought back the system-menu display!! thanks!

one last question.. currently I have "new super mario bros" in the original version.
Can I launch it directly with the disc, or are there things to do to avoid risking bricking the wii???

did you do the rest of the procedure? there are options in the preloader's hacksmenusystem to block updates. it's not for nothing that I gave it to you along with the rest of the procedure

I just ran pimp my wii 1.32 in "test and fix issues" mode
And it wants to install IOS9 v778 (trucha) (installation: YES and TRUCHA: YES)
should I launch it??

let's change tactics: you're going to install the 4.1 system menu (the linked ios are the same) then this preloader for 4.1E
