Beware of the preloader on 4.2e
Switching to ios 70 seems to cause a problem, I'm trying to find a homebrew that supports the ES Patch for ios 70. I tried with Pimp My Wii v1.01 but it doesn't find (or doesn't offer a patch for) ios 70. So I think I'm going to start searching for a patched ios 70 and install it with dop ios.
However if you have other solutions I'm all ears!
ES_Diverfiy failed !

No preloader! I made a backup before installing the preloader, I'm testing some stuff. I did a first patch of ios 70 with pimp my wii 1.31, the patch went fine, but the preloader completely went off the rails. In the settings, it showed me absurd values for ios (-2564646846432 or 9853265 etc.). The menu version dropped to 0. Then after rebooting the wii, it went back to ios 70 menu v482.
Edit: 5 min later... It works perfectly, it really was ios 70 that seemed to be causing the problem
So all I had to do was put the ES_Patch on ios 70 via Pimp My Wii 1.31(Manual install then skip all the ios installs with A except 70 which must be installed with the ES Patch) then afterward I installed preload v0.29jodi. When launching the system menu, no issues. I get to the Wii Menu without a problem. Back to the HBC, I launch the 0.30 rev4 update. It updates, no issues, I relaunch the System Menu from v0.30 (white screen so) No issues. I haven't tested whether the hacks work correctly, I know the health warning doesn't seem to work (but that's the least of my worries xD)
Anyway, I'm going to get back to tinkering and tackle Wii Flow!
I think I'm going to try patching the IOS BEFORE installing the preloader that might be a better idea xD.

for oops and for the others: last night I bricked it real bad (corrupted system) all that after installing priiloader, luckily I went to get a pad to use my bootmii backup, because I had access to priiloader and hbc but since I had no pad it wasn't possible to start the restore. As a result I can start all over again but I'm still glad to have gotten my menu back, I don't dare do more because I'm scared of re-bricking.

I have exactly the same problem.
Is there a tutorial for pimp my wii somewhere?
I took a look at pimp my wii and I admit I'm hesitant to get started.

clearly 4.2 + preloader doesn't mix well unless maybe patching ios70 with pimp my wii. but for me the simplest is to patch the ios with the latter then switch to manual to install 4.1 then reinstall the preloader with the hacks.ini for 4.1 otherwise I think you'd need to patch ios70 before installing the preloader

I've seen some, but there's not really much need, Pimp my wii is quite well explained.
The steps to follow:
1) Get Pimp My Wii v1.31 here
2) Install it in the apps folder of the SD
3) Launch Pimp My Wii v1.31 from the Homebrew Channel
4) Use the Manual Installation option
5) Accept the network initialization
6) A list follows of all the ios with the possible changes to make.
By default, Install is set to No, so that if you press A, you move to the next Ios without anything being installed.
7) Go through all the Ios until you reach 70, at which point you'll need to set install to Yes, and ES_Identifier to Yes as well, the rest must be on No. Then press A.
8) Go through all the other Ios, the install of the patched ios 70 with ES_Identifier starts. When it's done, exit.
That's the detailed procedure! This step is therefore done (relative to Darkscad's tutorial) before installing preloader v0.29 JODI. And it fixes the error: ES_Diverfiy failed on the preloader menu (or the Corrupted Data screen when launching the System Menu with v0.29).
To use preloader v0.30, it's also better to download it from the pc and put it on the SD rather than using the update via preload v0.29 which is super long. To go from preloader v0.29 Jodi to v0.30 rev 4. Just launch the preload v0.30 application from the HBC. It will detect v0.29 and update accordingly.
After that the System Menu should launch correctly and so the Wii well protected with the preloader + bootmii behind it!

1) Recuperez Pimp My Wii v1.31 ici
3) Lancer Pimp My Wii v1.31 depuis la Homebrew Channel
4) Utiliser l'option Installation Manuelle
5)Accepter l'initialisation reseau
Puis presser A.
