MediEvil Recomp 1.0: final version on PC and Mac
MediEvil Recomp hits 1.0: the PS1 classic, recompiled natively for PC, Mac and Linux, gains right-stick camera control, a mod hub and shaders.
Sir Daniel goes final
One month after its beta, MediEvil Recomp, by the BlackLabelHQ team, was released as 1.0 in early November, then as 1.0.3 on 2 November. The team calls it its first "final" version: the main features are complete, but updates will continue. The 1998 PS1 game is recompiled with the RecompOne tool, and the team states that the project was written without AI.
What's new in 1.0
What you need
An OpenGL 2.1 graphics card and your own disc of the US version of MediEvil, in BIN/CUE or CHD format. No game files are provided.

What's new in 1.0
- The right-stick camera and fixed analog handling.
- Presets for RetroArch shaders (slang), thanks to ShaderMod.
- A Mod Hub to browse and install mods, texture packs and shaders, plus an in-game pack editor.
- True 24-bit color and adjustable dithering.
- Fixes: widescreen transitions, crashes when leaving a level or with a long draw distance, videos skipping on their own.
