Delta 2.0: Sega Genesis and RetroAchievements on iPhone
Delta, the App Store retro emulator, reaches 2.0: Sega Genesis, RetroAchievements, a Liquid Glass interface and reading your game cartridges.
Delta's biggest update
Delta, Riley Testut's emulator for iPhone and iPad, was released in version 2.0 on October 22, on the App Store and on AltStore PAL. According to the announcement, the app has passed 20 million downloads in two years. It already emulated the NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy systems and Nintendo DS.
What's new
Your cartridges on iPhone
As an experimental feature, Delta reads and writes saves from cartridges for Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and Super Nintendo, connected to the iPhone or iPad through the Epilogue GB Operator and SN Operator readers. Enough to continue on iPhone a game started on the console, and vice versa.
On iPhone, the 3DS emulator Azahar has also taken a big step forward, without JIT. For the PSP, see our PPSSPP tutorial.
