[TUTORIAL] HACK Wii 3.0E to 4.1E

HI I HAVE a black wii v4.1E I can't play original dvd movies I've already installed mplayer and dvdx installed! help me

with the aging mplayer, you need to install hermes' cios 202. With the excellent wiiMC, you just need ios58 so there, one shot of pimp my wii and you're good.

avec le vieillissant mplayer, il te faut installer le cios 202 d'hermes. Avec l’excellent wiiMC, il te faut juste l'ios58 donc là, un coût de pimp my wii et c'est bon.

I INSTALLED wiimc but I didn't find iso in pimp my wii

J AI installé wiimc mais je n ai pas trouvé iso ds pimp my wii

both ios are installed but still an error on an original dvd movie on wiimc: "invalid dvd"

les 2 ios sont installés mais tj une erreur sur un film dvd original sur wiimc:"dvd non valide"

I installed only the 1st line each time not (es_identify...........) do I need to install everything?

I have a small issue. Following the tutorial I installed (on my black WII 4.1E)
• Homebrew channel
• BootMii
• I made a Dump of my NAND
• HackMii Installer
• IOS236 Installer
• Waninkoko's cIOS rev 17

And from there on it doesn't work anymore:
• It says to do: "Waninkoko's cIOS rev 20b: you will choose IOS 249 as the installation IOS."
But for me, IOS 249 isn't in the list. It's written on the IOS installation screen: "NOTE: Custom IOS will be installed as IOS249!".

I tried starting Wiiflow (using it is the goal of my crack) from THC (it doesn't appear in the WII's channels) but I get the following message (even though the HDD is connected to USB): "Please plug a USB HDD on port 0 ou press Reset". Obviously I tested both USB ports for the same result.

Can you help me?

J’ai un petit soucis. En suivant le tuto j’ai installé (sur ma WII noire 4.1E)

Et à partir de là cela ne marche plus :

Or chez moi, l’IOS 249 n’est pas dans la liste. Il est écrit de l’écran d’installation de l’IOS : « NOTE : Custom IOS will be installed as IOS249 ! ».

J'ai essayé de démarrer Wiiflow (son utilisation est le but de mon crack) depuis THC (il n'apparait pas dans les chaîne de la WII) mais j'ai le message suivant (alors que le DD est connecté à l'USB): "Please plug a USB HDD on port 0 ou press Reset". Evidemment j'ai testé les deux prises USB pour le même résultat.

When I get to what must be step 5 of the "Hack wii 3.0 to 4.1E" Tutorial there's a problem:

I can't use IOS 249 to install CIOS38rev20b simply because it's not in the list of available IOS (a choice you make using the left and right buttons on the wiimote's d-pad: it goes from 236 to 254, but not from 249 like it's asked in the tutorial)

When I try to choose IOS36 as the IOS version (so instead of 249 for those who haven't been following) to do the installation, at the end of the installation I get the following error message:
"Install ERROR! (ret = -2011)"

Pour info:
Qd je tente de choisir l'IOS36 comme version d'IOS (donc à la place du 249 pour ceux qui n'auraient pas suivi) pour faire l'installation, en fin d'installation j'obtiens le message d'erreur suivant:

that doesn't exist... whatever the region, it's 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3... nothing more. Since downgrading is strongly discouraged, I'd advise you to use pimp my wii to update your wii while keeping the best possible hack.

Ps: it's hacks.ini and not hack.ini

ça n’existe pas... quelque soit la région, c'est 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3... rien de plus. Le downgrade étant fortement déconseillé, je te conseille d'utiliser pimp my wii afin de mettre à jour ta wii tout en conservant le meilleur hack possible.

Ps : c'est hacks.ini et non hack.ini

About the missing IOS249


For info: at step 4, to install cIOS38Rev17, in the tutorial it says: "you will choose IOS 236 as the installation IOS" but in the tutorial's video, it's IOS36 that is selected. And I chose IOS36 (like in the video).
Is that the cause of my problem?

I would like to hack my white wii version 4.1E but first I had a few questions about how to go about it.

- even hacked can I put original games back in the drive.

-will I still have my save files for games in progress.

-is there a tutorial for the bonus paragraph because I didn't find it.

-and last question regarding the sentence in red in the tutorial I didn't understand a thing.

je souhaiterais hacké ma wii blanche version 4.1E mais avant j'avais quelques questions pour la mise en oeuvre.

- meme hacké est ce que je peux remmetre des jeux originaus dans le lecteur.

-est ce que j'aurais toujours mes sauvegardes pour les jeux en cours.

-est ce qu'il y a un tuto pour le paragraphe bonus car je ne l'ai pas trouvé.

-et dernière questions par rapport à la phrase en rouge dans le tuto j'ai absolument rien compris.

so I did manage without any trouble but I'm stuck at one step, this one:

-Launch the rev 20b installer via HBC

everything worked fine but there the wii tells me to wait and it's been a good 15 min, in the video it doesn't get stuck at the last step, what should I do?

tout a bien marcher mais la la wii me dit d'attendre et sa fait bien 15m dans la vidéo elle ne bloque pas a la dernière étape je dois faire quoi du coup ??

yes so everything goes well but at the 2nd finalizing sentence it stays there and doesn't move, it says to wait but well after 5h ^^ in the video it goes through right away

yes I did put the iso in properly and it installs fine but at the end of this installation there are two sentences

1st: installing custom ios, please wait..

that gives this answer:

finishing instalations...ok!

2nd: finishing instalations, please wait

and there it gets stuck, it stays like that

normally it should give:

SUCCESS: custom ios installed success

and you're talking about 239 do you really mean instead of 249??

if so I'll try right away after your answer ^^

And otherwise, what error do you get?

Tu fais bien network installation ?

Et sinon , quel erreur reçois tu ?
