Everything seems to work perfectly

priiloader only managed to install with HBC 1.06 which is on a different ios than the latest HBC

for beginners like me

a few important details not always specified
formatting the external hard drive to be recognized by WII and also WBFS manager
must be formatted in partition(s) main or primary (not in logical or logique)

forwarders
these are kinds of shortcuts
there are 2 types
wad: they need to be put in the wad folder at the root of the SD (or HDD) to be installed with wad manager; they'll allow you to create a channel for our loader (for example wiiflow, usb loader GX...)

dol: they need to be copied to the root of the SD (or HDD) to be installed thanks to a preloader such as priiloader; they'll allow, by setting up priiloader, to boot directly on our favorite loader when the wii starts.

besides forwarders there are loader channels that install the loader directly as a channel. Their disadvantage is that they'll require their complete uninstallation in case of an update; whereas a forwarder will only require replacing the dol file in the apps/ folder

pour les débutants dans mon style

qq détails importants pas toujours précisés
le formatage du disque dur externe pour être reconnu par WII et aussi WBFS manager
doit être formater en partittion (s) pincipale ou primary ( pas en logical ou logique )

les forwarders
ce sont des sortes de raccourcis
il en existe 2 types
wad : ils sont a mettre dans le dossier wad à la racine de la SD (ou HDD) pour être installer avec wad manager ; ils permettront de créer une chaine de notre loader (par exemple wiiflow, usb loader GX...)

dol : ils sont à copier à la racine de la SD (ou HDD) pour être installer grace à un preloader tel priiloader ; ils permettront en parametrant le priiloader de démarrer directement sur notre loader préféré au démarrage de la wii.

à coté des fowarders ils existent des chaines de loader qui installent directement le loader en tant que chaine. Leur désavantage est qu'ils nécessiteront leur desintallation complète en cas de mise à jour ; alors qu'un forwarder ne nécessitera que le remplacement du fichier dol dans le dossier apps/

hello, I hacked a 4.2e wii with the site's tutorial, and it works wonderfully. now I'm following this tutorial for a 3.4e wii and I'll keep you posted on the result. thanks again for this great site and all the tips it contains

Hello, I did everything as indicated in this great tutorial (nothing more, nothing less), apparently everything is OK! Except that ... impossible to mount my hard drive.
Yet, I formatted my hard drive with WBFSmanager and put the iso image of my favorite game on it (I use it so much, the DVD gets damaged ). When I start USBloader 1.5, I get the message: Mounting device, please wait... ERROR (ret = -1)
My drive is compatible though, I see it with WiiMC. Help!!!!? Does anyone have maybe something better than USBLoader to suggest? Any idea? I can't fail this close to the finish line!!

Hello, j'ai tout fait comme indiqué dans ce super tuto (rien de plus, rien de moins), apparemment tout est OK ! Sauf que ... impossible de mounter mon disque dur.
Pourtant, j'ai formaté mon disque dur avec WBFSmanager et placé l'image iso de mon jeu favori (tellement je l'utilise, le DVD s'abime ). Lorsque je démarre USBloader 1.5, j'ai le message : Mounting device, please wait... ERROR (ret = -1)
Mon disque est pourtant compatible, je le vois avec WiiMC. Help !!!!? Qq1 a peut-être qqchose de mieux que USBLoader à proposer ? Une idée ? Je peux pas échouer si près du but quand même !!
