thanks for the tutorial but why can't we block online updates on 4.1E while on 4.2E we can, does a hack.ini for 4.1E exist with the hack to block the online update??????

well I seemed to recall there had been a hacks.ini update with a block on online updates for 4.1
I ended up finding the source: New Hacks.ini (Priiloader) For System 4.1 4.2 4.3

He removed the installer due to a bug.

I tried the normal installation, and the one where you force it (holding b down)
there are 2 slightly different results.

During the normal installation, it tells me right on the 1st line: ios 61 not patched with ES_D1verify
honestly, this ios doesn't ring a bell for me. I try to install and it shows me 2 warnings in yellow: 0000001/0000002/data/loader.ini not delet erreur 102 and
0000001/0000002/data/password.ini not delet erreur 102

for the forced installation:
0000001/0000002/data/loader.ini delet ( so in white, since that's fine, apparently)
0000001/0000002/data/password.ini not delet erreur 106

This time the loader deletion is done but not the password, and the error is no longer 102 but 106

any idea?

J'ai essayer l'installation normale, et celle ou l'on force ( avec b rester push)
il y a 2 résultats légèrement différent.

Lors de l'installation normal, il m'indique des la 1ere ligne : ios 61 not patched with ES_D1verify
sincèrement, cette ios ne me rappelle rien. j'essaye d'installer et la il m'indique 2 warnings en jaune : 0000001/0000002/data/loader.ini not delet erreur 102 et

pour l'installation forcé :
0000001/0000002/data/loader.ini delet ( donc en blanc, vue que c'est bon, soit disans)
0000001/0000002/data/password.ini not delet erreur 106

Cette fois si la suppression du loader est faite mais pas le password, et l'erreur n'est plus 102 mais 106

it's nothing. check carefully but the update should have been done. actually these two errors come from the fact that it tries to retrieve info that you don't have. a password and a loader (don't know the latter).

c'est rien. vérifie bien mais la maj devrait être faite. en faite c'est deux erreurs viennent du faite qu'il essaye de récupérer des info que tu n'as pas. un password et un loader (connait pas le dernier).

in the priiloader menu... the version, whether you have access to the hacks, to HBC, if autoboot works, etc...

hmm I haven't tested the latest versions yet but I think you need to activate the hacks.ini file otherwise it looks for another one (I forget the name )
but otherwise when you turn on your wii and hold reset, do you get the priiloader menu appearing?

yes it's priiloader 0.4 as was recommended, I did see the various topics about 0.5.

I don't understand the old-style hack.ini, my previous one autobooted directly to the system menu. I see it like this but then the tutorial with the "Hacks.ini Generator" is useless for 0.4 then? a plain hack.ini is enough.

désolé mamule mais sur le coup il a raison. c'est pas "appuyer sur reset" mais "appuyer et maintenir reset"

well I agree with both of you, it's hold (there I'm defending oops), but the way it's stated in the tutorial it's implicit that you have to hold it (defending mamule ). Then again I'm pretty strict about words and content, see the GC memory card episode lol, so I'm a pain
in the end, all's well that ends well

ba je suis d'accord avec vous 2 , c'est maintenir ( la je défend oops) , mais la manière dont c'est indiqué dans le tuto c'est implicite que l'on doit maintenir (défend mamule ). Après je suis assez a cheval sur les mots et le contenu , voir l'épisode de la carte mémoire GC lol , donc je suis chiant
finalement, tout est bien qui fini bien
