Hello and thanks for this tutorial. It seems huge these 184 pages of messages since its creation.

Hoping it has been updated over time by its author and for a newcomer (like me) won't have to read all these pages but just focus on page 1

En espérant qu'il a été mis à jour au fur et à mesure par son auteur et pour un nouveau (comme moi) n'aura pas à lire tous ces pages mais rester se concentrer uniquement à la page 1

Hello, My son has a Wii which has been updated from V3.2 I had the Homebrew Channel installed , should I uninstall the previous version of homebrew and the current version of the Wii is 4.2E. how should I proceed. thanks for your reply

Just one question. I've vaguely looked into 4.2E hacking for now. So I heard the term "Brick"... If you follow it scrupulously, do you risk completely and permanently bricking your Wii, or is there always hope of recovering if you mess something up somewhere?

Juste une question. Je me suis vaguement pour l'instant interressé au hack en 4.2E. J'ai donc entendu le terme "Brick" ... Est ce qu'en suivant scrupuleusement, on risque de planter complètement sa Wii définitevement ou est ce qu'il y a toujours un espoir de rattraper si on merde quelque part ?

there are several kinds of brick, some unrecoverable but if you follow the tutorial correctly, you shouldn't have any problems

il y a plusieurs sorte de brick, certain irrécupérable mais si tu suis correctement le tuto, tu ne devrais pas avoir de problème

I'm comparing this tutorial with the one with SCIIFII (guide-underground/the-ultimate-hack-yes ... t4931.html). I notice there's a huge difference in terms of steps.

So what's the difference? As a novice, I'd prefer SCIIFII but it must have downsides, right? Could you explain to me please. Thanks a lot.

PS: the steps of each tutorial:

With SCIIFII, there are only 3 steps:
1. Prepare the SD card
2. Install "Homebrew channel" and "BootMii in Boot2"
3. Install SciiFii (full mode)

With the current tutorial, here are the 11 steps needed (I'm at step 3 for now):
1. Prepare the SD card
2. Install "Homebrew channel" and "BootMii in Boot2"
3. Back up the NAND
4. IOS STUB 249
5. Cios rev 17 by Waninkoko
6. IOS STUB 222/223
7. Cios Hermes
8. Patch ios70
9. Priiloader
10. DARKCORP
11. WIIFLOW

the missing step 3 is very important in case of a brick, for the rest, the missing details, I'd say... here you leave less clueless

I'd recommend the 11-step tutorial because at least if you're stuck we can help you, whereas if you use SciiFii.... we'll send you back to wiigen because there's no support for that homebrew here

je te conseil le tuto au 11 étapes car au moins si tu es coincé on pourra d'aider, par contre si tu utilises SciiFii.... on te renverra sur wiigen car il n'y a pas de support pour cet homebrew ici
