to read backups on dvd or as iso on an external hdd via usb you need to hack your wii. whether you go through the zelda original and its exploit or through banner bomb the result is the same. The goal is to launch hackmii installer and install HBC (HomeBrewChannel) so you can continue the rest of the tutorial.
warning... for dvd backups, your wii must meet certain conditions. there's a part of the tutorial that will let you determine that.

well you need to patch it with pimp my wii manually. the tutorial explains it I believe.

et bien il faut le patcher avec pimp my wii en manuel. le tuto l'explique il me semble.
