[obsolete!?] The ultimate solution to be unbanned from online

Tutorial entirely created by tommy gun and exclusive to the Tgames forum, you're allowed to put it on your site but by copying this copyright at the end of the tutorial:

First of all I'm going to explain why we're going to modify this file. Well actually, when Nintendo bans you (it bans you thanks to the tittle HAXX), it bans your so-called DWC_AUTHDATA... You're probably going to wonder what this file is, well it's an authorization code, so to conclude if you're banned, you'll need to change your authorization code to reconnect. So this tutorial explains how to change the DWC_AUTHDATA file to get unbanned from online.

IMPORTANT: Neither I nor the Tgames forum can be held responsible for problems resulting from the use of this tutorial. So know that you use it at your own risk. This method has been tested several times by myself and works, but know that it's you who decides to follow this tutorial, if you make a mistake editing the DWC_AUTHDATA file you risk bricking your Wii. In conclusion a backup of your NAND is strongly recommended!

Required equipment:

- A Wii (any version)
- The homebrew channel (See HERE to install it)
- Some protection against bricking (Bootmii, Priiloader ...)
- An SD card
- A way to read your SD card on your computer
- A PC with Windows
- FSToolBox by Nicksasa
- A Hex Editor (here I used Free Hex Editor Neo)


I) Preparing the SD card

- Put the SD card in your computer
- Copy the "apps" folder to the root of your SD card (SD:/apps)


II) Installing the Hex Editor

- Run the installer and leave all the options as default.

III) Retrieving the DWC_AUTHDATA file

- Put your SD card in the Wii

-Turn on your Wii then launch the Homebrew channel

-Launch "FSToolBox".

- Press "A", then "A" again

- Move the arrow to the "shared2" folder and press "A"

- Select DWC_AUTHDATA and press the "-" button on your Wiimote, then go back to the homebrew channel by pressing "HOME"

IIII) Editing the DWC_AUTHDATA file

Now that you have your file, we're going to see how to edit it so you get unbanned from online.

-Insert your SD card into the computer

- Go into the "FSTOOLBOX" folder then into the "shared2" folder

- Right click on DWC_AUTHDATA and "Edit with HHD Hex Editor Neo" (if it offers you an update, refuse it)

- Now that your file is loaded, add 1 to the value at the 8th byte (example, if your number is 06 it should be changed to 07)

- Replace the original DWC_AUTHDATA file with the modified file.

- Put your SD card in the Wii

-Turn on your Wii then launch the Homebrew channel

- Press "A", then "A" again

- Move the arrow to the "shared2" folder and press "A"

WARNING: Now you need to delete your old saves otherwise your friend codes will stay in the saves and you won't be able to play online

You can play online again, but of course by making this tutorial I'm not encouraging you to cheat online!

Tous d'abord je vais vous expliquer pourquoi on va modifier ce fichier. Et bien en fait, quand Nintendo vous bannit (il vous banni grâce au tittle HAXX), il bannit votre soit disant DWC_AUTHDATA... Vous allez sûrement vous demander ce que c'est ce fichier, et bien c'est un code d'autorisation, donc conclusion si vous êtes banni, il faudra changer de code d'autorisation pour vous reconnecter. IMPORTANT : Ni moi ni le forum Tgames ne pourrons être tenus responsables des problèmes résultant de l'utilisation de ce tutoriel. Sachez donc que vous l'utilisez à vos risques et périls. Cette méthode a été testée plusieurs fois par moi même et est fonctionnel, mais sachez que c'est vous qui décidez de suivre ce tutoriel, si vous faites une faute dans l'édition du fichier DWC_AUTHDATA vous risquerez de bricker votre Wii. Conclusion une sauvegarde de votre NAND est fortement conseillée !

Matériel requis :

- Une Wii (n'importe quelle version)
- La chaîne homebrew (Voir ICI pour l'installer)
- Une protections contre le brick (Bootmii, Priiloader ...)
- Une carte SD
- Un moyen de lire votre carte SD sur votre ordinateur
- Un PC avec Windows
- FSToolBox de Nicksasa
- Un Editeur Hexadécimal (ici j'ai utilisé Free Hex Editor Neo)

- Mettez la carte SD dans votre ordinateur

- Mettez votre carte SD dans la Wii


-Allumez votre Wii puis lancez la chaîne Homebrew


-Lancez "FSToolBox".



- Appuyez sur "A", puis encore sur "A"

- Déplacez la flèche sur le dossier "shared2" et appuyez sur "A"

- Sélectionnez DWC_AUTHDATA et appuyez sur le bouton "-" de votre Wiimote, puis revenez sur l'homebrew channel en appuyant sur "HOME"

IIII) Édition du fichier DWC_AUTHDATA

Maintenant que vous avez votre fichier, nous allons voir comment l'éditer afin d'être débanni du online.

-Insérez votre carte SD dans l'ordinateur

- Allez dans le dossier "FSTOOLBOX" puis dans le dossier "shared2"

- Clic droit sur DWC_AUTHDATA et "Edit with HHD Hex Editor Neo" (s'il vous propose une mise à jour, refusez-la)

- Maintenant que votre fichier est chargé, ajoutez 1 valeur au 8ème octet (exemple, si votre chiffre est 06 il devra être transformé en 07)

- Remplacez le fichier DWC_AUTHDATA original par le fichier modifié.

ATTENTION : Maintenant il faut supprimer vos anciennes sauvegardes sinon vos codes amis resteront dans les sauvegardes et vous ne pourrez pas jouer en online

Vous pouvez de nouveau jouer en ligne, mais bien sûr je ne vous incite pas, en faisant ce tutoriel, de tricher en ligne !

I'm replying to an old message but check if the code you change in this file is in the save file. And maybe you could make 2 identical saves with 2 different wiis to see the differences between the 2 files

Je répond a un vieux message mais regarde si le code que tu change dans ce fichier est dans la sauvegarde.Et tu peut peut-être faire 2 sauvegarde exactement pareil avec 2 wii différentes pour voir les différences entre les 2 fichiers

I'll answer you and yes they can, I've been banned for 2 months, only the mario kart anti-ban code works
