Thanks again for the tutorial, but I have a problem. Bootmii is installed, wiiconnect24 is disabled but I can't downgrade the console to ios 15 or another. My internet connection is ok. I even tried with the ios .wad files placed at the root of the sd card but that didn't work either. My wii is on 4.2 E. I have error code -125 (I think) but I could possibly send a picture.

redo the part of the tutorial: B, downgrade ios15, restart, select ios15, A, downgrade ios36,..... blah blah launch the rev17 installer, select ios36 and install. if it doesn't work start over from the beginning.

If the problem comes from the wii's connection
use Nus Downloader to get the wads you need on your PC
and put them at the root of your SD card before doing what Oops asked

you need it's 5 here:

IOS15-64-v257.wad
IOS15-64-v523.wad
IOS34-64-v3348.wad
IOS36-64-v3351.wad
IOS38-64-v3867.wad

Thanks for your help but I'm sending you the error messages and a summary of my progress
I have a wii on 4.2e. I installed BOOTMII as BOOT2. I made a Nand backup. I want to downgrade with Trucha bug restorer 1.11 and I get this error message
net_gethostbyname failed: -125
Error making http request
Loading ticket failed, ret = 4294967295
Error reading ios into memory
Downgrade failed
Press any button to exit
So I want to launch the test and fix the problem with pimp my wii 1.32 and there's a new error message:
net_gethostbyname failed: -125
0000000100000039/cetk (res=1, htpp status=404) I replaced the boot.dol with https://www.2shared.com/file/8427511/c569bb3/boot.html as advised by the forum and there the same error message.
I should mention that my wifi connection on the wii works and that wiiconnect 24 is disabled.

until you've succeeded with trucha bug restore, there's no point doing the rest. start over from the beginning.

1. launch Trucha Bug Restorer 1.11 mod with the homebrews channel.
2. press B
3. wait then press 1
4. Select "Downgrade IOS15"
5. press A (getting IOS15 rev 523)
6. press A (getting IOS15 rev 257)
7. press A for step 1
8. press A for step 2
9. press A to exit
10. restart
11. select ios15 with left on the wiimote then press A
12. wait then press 1
13. select "IOS36 menu"
14. check every option to YES
WARNING don't forget this step of the tutorial...
make sure you have checked every option to YES with the wii remote's directional pad.
otherwise you won't be able to install cios 249
and therefore continue the tutorial!
15. press A (getting rev 3351)
16. press A to install (Installing.... done)
17. press A to exit
18. restart
19. press A (IOS36 by default)
20. wait then press 1
21. select "Restore IOS15"
22. press A (getting IOS15 rev 523)
23. press A to install (Installing.... done)
24. press A to exit

if all goes well, move on to the next part otherwise start again from 1 and tell me the number where you're stuck

It's exactly from step 5 that I get the following error message:

and I also don't know how to install the .wad files from the sd card. There too an error message.
