Feedback after using this tutorial as promised!
I followed the tutorial from start to finish,

very honestly without this tutorial it would have been impossible but it's so clear here that I succeeded on the first try! you really need to take it slowly and surely because the consequences of a mistake are heavy (the tutorial thankfully reminds you of that).

Small note: in the step with pimp my wii, I didn't have internet and it wasn't mentioned to download a .wad if you didn't have one (which I did after seeing how it was done before), you need:

IOS70-64-v6687.wad

For the rest really no mistakes it's the tutorial to follow, I applaud all the people who made it

"Logged in as "su"!
Got ROOT!
Unable to read buffer. Aborting mission.."

(2nd black Wii 4.2e, 1st one ok perfect, the second one....

Thanks in advance because on the net people talk about it but only in English and with technical terms...

Hello everyone,

I recently acquired a black wii updated to 4.2E,
now I'd like to get into hacking this one, I found this forum while poking around a bit on the net, and I hope it can meet my expectations.
first of all, browsing through the pages I see a lot of thank-yous probably because you have to post in order
to get access to the full content of this topic.
but I'd like to know for how many people this tutorial worked correctly without a hitch?
so that I can get into the hack with peace of mind
and also as of the time I'm writing, are the pieces of software in the pack up to date?
or do I need to get the most recent ones?

EDIT: everything went perfectly now I'm going to move on to installing wiiflow to play downloaded isos, I'll keep you posted if it works

you've seen a lot of thank-yous. but don't you think that if there was a problem with this tutorial, there would also be a lot of feedback and even insulting messages

The only thing that might not be up to date is priiloader. (the hack.ini file stays the same)

Now... to say that it will go without a hitch, nothing is certain. it all depends on your ability to follow a tutorial well and on the stability of your connection. and even then... even sometimes when you're a pro, when the hack doesn't want to go through, well, it just doesn't...

the only solution is to start over from the beginning and if there's a problem, you're not alone.

that's the case for all the new ones and future ones.... not a big deal, you install as IOS. That's already better than nothing.
