Hi everyone, i was browsing a forum and i see they're talking about cios 38 rev 17 by Waninkoko, what do you think of this rev compared to the 14, is it worth replacing rev14?

I just finished a black wii on 4.2E with a tamper-proof drive, no particular problems!!!
On a 320 GB WD hdd and usbloader_gx: no problems with games so far

PS: i stayed on rev14, even though rev17 came out. (not my wii)

Je viens de terminer une wii noir en 4.2E avec lecteur inviolable, aucun soucis particulier !!!
Sur hdd 320 Go WD et usbloader_gx : aucun problèmes avec les jeux pour le moment
Merci pour le travail et le temps passé pour des gens comme moi : super !!

PS: je suis resté sur la rev14, bien que la rev17 est sortie. (pas à moi la wii)

i have a small question about bootmii.
what's the difference between installing in boot2 and installing in IOS????
my old wii is on boot 2, but very soon i'm going to tackle the "black edition" and on that series there's no boot 2.
what risk is there in hacking it by following this tutorial with the IOS install?????
will the naad still be recoverable?? even after a possible brick???

thanks for this tutorial there are several tutorials for hacking the 4.2 with different methods it's not easy to make the right choice but this one really appeals to me so maybe i'll go for it.....

there we go, i finally finished, with the other tutorials on the net i couldn't manage it but this one works when i'm really focused ^^ i'll have some beginner questions i have the black wii 4 2 what do i burn the iso games with and on roughly what dvd format and once it's burned how do i launch it?

To play burned dvds on a black wii there's only one solution: fit a solderless ribbon-type chip.

but read the wiiflow section of the tutorial carefully, it lets you launch isos installed on a HDD. it's 100 times better.

Pour lancer des dvd gravé sur une wii noir une seule solution : poser une puce sans soudure de type nappe.

mais lis bien le tuto section wiiflow qui permets de lancer les iso installé sur un HDD. c'est 100 fois mieux.
