Another question, how do I know if my wii is ciospack compatible using the serial number, is that it (my serial number is neither LEH278697865 nor LEM10xxxxxxx)? If so would that let me use backups??

look in the tutorial under the ciospack section there's a link marked "TEST drive"

Good evening, I need your help, I have a Wii on 4.2, I followed the tutorial to the letter, I'd like to know how to avoid this: when I'm on the homebrew channel and I press HOME and Return to system menu the Wii crashes?
Another thing, how do I put the wii back to how it was when it left the factory or on official 4.2 (knowing that before doing the steps I didn't back up my nand (I did it at the end of the hack^^)).

why do you want to put it back to "factory" version!!??

I was thinking of a semi brick but apparently not.

honestly I don't see where the problem comes from. just in case, try setting "System menu IOS:" to ios249, save and test again.

what do you have enabled in "systemmenu hacks"?

ok well then you found the source of the problem but that's not normal. so you're going to set all the hacks to disabled then save. then you're going to change the hacks.ini file at the root of your SD to this one:

ok bon alors tu as trouver la source du problème mais ce n'est pas normal. donc tu vas mettre tout les hacks sur disabled puis sauvegarder. ensuite tu va changer le fichier hacks.ini qui est à la racine de ta SD par celui là :
