Hello,

has anyone managed to do the hack? Personally I don't dare do anything anymore because brick after priiloader, luckily I had the backup with bootmii. But now I don't dare do anything anymore. Shouldn't the tutorial on the 1st page be modified before installing priiloader? Thanks for reassuring me and well done to everyone who contributes to the good functioning of the forum!!!!

the brick problem after installing priiloader or preloader on 4.2 wiis has been resolved and the tutorial is up to date

Patch ios70
5- It seems a new problem has appeared with the latest consoles,
which prevents installing the preloader to fix this
and avoid this error we're going to patch ios70 (used by the preloader)

1) Get Pimp My Wii v1.32
2) Install it in the apps folder of the SD
SD: apps/pimpmywii/boot.dol

3) Launch Pimp My Wii v1.32 from the Homebrew Channel
4) Use the Manual Installation option
5) Accept the network initialization
6) A list follows of all the ios with the possible changes to make.
By default, Install is set to No, so that if you press A,
you move to the next Ios without anything being installed.
7) Go through all the Ios until you reach ios 70, at which point you'll need to set install to Yes,
and ES_Identifier to Yes as well, the rest must be on No.
Then press A.
8) Go through all the other Ios, the install of the patched ios 70 with ES_Identifier starts.
When it's done, exit.

but if you're still bricked, you just need to reinstall the 4.2 system menu.

if you unbricked by reinstalling the system menu, you resume from "Patch ios70" if you unbricked with bootmii, you resume the tutorial from the beginning or almost

Ha that comes just at the right time, my finger had just slipped onto the update, I was about to hack it like I did on the white one but it wasn't working, yet I did exactly the same way. both wiis being on 4.2E I don't see where the difference comes from.... I hope your tutorial will be the key.... THANKS

In step 3 isn't something missing? custom cios where to find them to put them at the root of the sd. Also I see in the video that you have to select in "select ios version" the 249 but I no longer see it since I deleted it

the video is about installing cios 249 rev14 NOT deleting it.
it follows the deletion of the ios249 stub!

first you erase it then you install it!
for the wad files you'll find them on the forum or faster on the new wiki.

Something's escaping me, how do I reinstall cios 249 rev14? It's not in the tutorial.
