PS5 14.10: open research, but no jailbreak
A public research repository on PS5 firmware 14.10 is drawing attention. It goes through a game and Lua scripts, but still does not control the kernel.
What this project does
Opened on October 16, 2026 by ZigZagBoi1, the PS5-14.10-Research repository has close to 400 stars. Its main entry point is a game: the visual novel Hamidashi Creative, whose engine runs Lua scripts. A modified save opens a network door (port 9026) through which the researchers send their own scripts.
This gives deep access to the game'suserland: memory reads and writes, system calls, thread creation, library addresses. The project also runs tests on the console's browser.
What it does not do
The repository is honest about this: kernel read and write are not demonstrated on 14.10. No kernel address could be found, W^X protection holds, and the browser bug used by Relapse is patched. Its "63% progress" is a score the project gives itself, not an estimate of the time left. A correction published in the README even withdraws some earlier claims.
In other words: no jailbreak to download, and no date. The project asks for donations; beware of copies that show cryptocurrency addresses and promise an exploit on 14.20.
Where does 14.10 stand?
Two serious leads exist, both private: the exploit shown by Gezine and Prolapse, already patched in 14.20. The advice stays the same: if you care about the jailbreak, stay on your firmware, as explained in our look at 14.20.
