Jak and Daxter: the trilogy running natively on PS5
Jak and Daxter, Jak II and Jak 3 run natively on a PS5 jailbroken on 13.60, at close to 60 frames per second, thanks to a port of OpenGOAL.
OpenGOAL comes to the PS5
OpenGOAL is the project that rebuilt the code of Naughty Dog's Jak games to turn them into native PC games. The opengoal-ps5 repository, opened on October 22, 2026 by 0iy under the GPL-3.0 licence, brings this engine to the PS5. It is not PS2 emulation: the game runs directly on the console, with an OpenGL graphics driver modified for the PS5. Version 0.1.4 came out on October 29.
All three games are playable
The project's measurements, at 1080p:
What you need
Still very experimental
The project says so itself: it has only been tested on a single console (a CFI-2016 on 13.60), and it still has very few users. Expect bugs, graphics glitches and occasional stutters. The install stays clean: one app folder and one data folder, without touching the system. Bugs should be reported on the port's repository, not to the OpenGOAL team.

All three games are playable
The project's measurements, at 1080p:
- Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy: playable, at 58 to 60 frames per second;
- Jak II: playable with a few graphics glitches, at 50 to 58 frames per second in the city;
- Jak 3: playable with a few graphics glitches, at 59 to 60 frames per second.
What you need
- A PS5 on 13.60 that is jailbroken, with the ELF loader on port 9021, as allowed by Relapse. Other firmwares have not been tested.
- A PC (Windows, macOS or Linux) on the same network, with Python 3: a single command finds the console, installs the app and opens the import window.
- Your own games, as ISO images made from your PS2 discs. No game files are provided.
- Do not load OnionHEN before starting the app.
