PS5-ECAM 5.0: the Switch joins the Wii U, 3DS and DS on PS5

By Tgames · · 2 min read

PS5CEMU-HAR becomes PS5-ECAM and adds the Switch, via Eden, to Cemu, Azahar and melonDS: four Nintendo consoles in a single PS5 app.

A fourth console

The app by premohq, which ran Zelda Breath of the Wild on a jailbroken PS5, changes its name with version 5.0.0, released on 20 October 2026: PS5-ECAM. It now brings four emulators together in a single launcher, designed for the TV and the DualSense:
  • Cemu for the Wii U (4K output, 120 Hz, FSR 1, graphics packs);
  • Azahar for the 3DS (up to 10 times the resolution);
  • melonDS for the DS (save states, RetroAchievements);
  • and, new in this version, Eden for the Switch, through the ProsperoEden.

The Switch in the launcher

Switch games (.nsp and.xci, with their updates and DLC) have their own section. The launcher sets the internal resolution (up to 4 times), scaling, ASTC textures, docked or handheld mode and rumble, globally or per game. The ProsperoEden launcher is still one button away, with mods, cheats, updates and profiles.
You need to supply your own keys and your Switch's firmware: the app includes neither, and its startup check shows what is missing.

Other new features
  • Wii U, 3DS and DS games can be loaded from.zip,.7z or.rar archives: DS games directly, the others after a one-time extraction on first launch.
  • 3DS games save again; this is what made Animal Crossing: New Leaf boot to a black screen.
  • On 3DS and DS: a button to touch the screen at the cursor, fast forward and, on DS, rewind.
  • Keyboards with accented letters, and the option to keep everything on the USB drive where the app is installed.
Nothing changes for existing users: the PPSA99360 ID and the /data/ps5cemu folder stay the same, and the update is offered from within the app from 3.0.0 onwards.

Good to know

You need a jailbroken PS5 that runs homebrew. Use your own games, dumped from your consoles. On PC, the same emulators are set up with our Azahar tutorial and our melonDS tutorial.
