2026 update: Switch Frame Tap also shows your Switch on PC, in 1080p and with no capture card; read on in our news story Switch Frame Tap: your Switch on PC in 1080p, no capture card needed.

MissionControl 0.16.0 supports Switch firmware 23: PS5, PS4, Xbox and Wii U controllers connect over Bluetooth again.

What MissionControl does

MissionControl, by ndeadly, is a system module for a Switch running Atmosphère. It lets you connect over Bluetooth controllers that the console does not natively recognise: DualSense (PS5), DualShock 4 (PS4), controllers from the Xbox One and Series, Wii U Pro, Wiimote and many others. Games see them as Pro Controllers.

What’s new in 0.16.0
  • Support for firmwares 23.0.0 and 23.0.1. Previous versions stopped working after the update.
  • A new setting limits the travel of the adaptive triggers of the DualSense.
  • Sony controllers’ battery is read more accurately: no more false low-battery warnings.
  • Better support for JoyconDroid (a Joy-Con controller on Android, without root).
  • The thread that handles Bluetooth events runs at a better priority.

Installing or updating
  • You first need Atmosphère 1.12.0, the version that supports firmware 23. The safe method is in our update tutorial.
  • Copy the contents of the archive to the root of the SD card, overwriting the old version, then reboot.
  • To pair a controller, go to Controllers → Change Grip/Order and put the controller in pairing mode (Create + PS on a DualSense).
MissionControl is part of our selection of the best Switch homebrew, alongside JKSV, Tesla and sys-clk.
