Firmware Updater v4.0

But there's something I don't get with these custom 4.0 firmwares, with IceFire's too, do you first have to upgrade your Wii the "traditional" way then install these programs, or by installing these programs, do you go straight to 4.0?

Mais y a un truc que je comprends pas avec ces custom de firmware 4.0, avec celui de IceFire aussi, il faut d'abord upgrader sa Wii de manière "traditionnelle" puis installer ces programmes, ou en installant ces programmes, on passe direct en 4.0 ?

Actually, it's the other way around! First install the dol-updater (the "IOS60 installer" .dol) checking the right choices for ios, channel... Then restart the wii and finally do the official update over the net!

En fait, c'est l'inverse! D'abord installer le dol-updater (.dol "IOS60 installer" ) en cochant les bons choix des ios,channel... Puis redémarrer la wii et enfin faire la MAJ officielle par le net!

As for me I did the update with Firmware Updater 4.0 and after that it's fine I just put back cIOSCORP + CIOS60BF + Preloader 0.29
By the way does the auto update feature that existed in 3.4 still exist with this homebrew?

That's what I think too! I have a friend who was on 3.4 and NINTENDO sent him a message asking him to do an update! He was forced to do it himself...

Greetings, so I installed Waninkoko's Firmware Updater v4.0.

It takes 3 quarters of an hour anyway but well! Result: everything works as if I were on 3.2E!

On the other hand, it surprises me that I still get an update request in the disc channel (for example for the game Disaster) even though I'm on 4.0E!

Do I then need to do the official update after installing Waninkoko's Firmware Updater v4.0??

NB: I have the Wiikey v1!

In the image you have the SD icon so I think it's good that's all that changes (with the Shop/Photo channel now supporting SDHC)
And no need to do an official update afterward

Sur l'image ta l'icône SD donc c'est bon je crois c'est tout ce qui change (avec la chaine Boutique/Photo qui supportent maintenant le SDHC)
Et pas besoin de faire une mise a jour officielle après

yes, with or without a backup cios. the most important thing when you're on 4.0 is to never lose the homebrew channel.... otherwise it's over. So never format ^^

oui, avec ou sans cios de secoure. le plus important quand tu est en 4.0 c'est de ne perdre en aucun cas the homebrew channel.... sinon c'est mort. Donc jamais de formatage ^^
