Firmware Updater v4.0

Waninkoko releases a new utility that lets you switch your Wii to version 4.0 without any of the drawbacks.

- Installs the new IOS.
- Installs the new System Menu.
- Installs / updates the Wii Shop Channel, Photo Channel etc (to take advantage of SDHC).
- Leaves the old IOS as they are to keep the Trucha exploit in them.

Required:
- The Homebrew Channel
- 150 - 250 free blocks on the Wii.

Waninkoko publie un nouvel utilitaire qui permet de passer votre Wii en version 4.0 sans toutefois en avoir les inconvénients.

- Installe les nouveaux IOS.
- Installe le nouveau System Menu.
- Installe / met à jour les chaines Boutique Wii, Chaine Photo etc (pour tirer profit du SDHC).
- Laisse les anciens IOS comme ils sont pour garder la faille Trucha dedans.

That's great news!
Personally I'm waiting a bit because on gbatemp they say the Preloader, Starfall, and the CiosCorp don't work with it.
I think there will very soon be a small update for all that.

I have a question, I have the cIOS Scorp v2 and I have a copy of a game so I can launch my backups via the disc channel: will I still be able to launch backups via the disc channel?

for that you need to test it yourself as for me I have a chip so there you go!!!
if it causes you problems you can always go back to 3.2 if you have the homebrew channel of course, but as for me I was able to reinstall everything afterward and had no problems, so I think it should work and also they say that the custom ios remain unchanged so then it's up to you to see!!!

pour sa il faut que tu teste toi meme moi j ai une puce donc voila!!!
si sa te cause des problemes tu pourra toujours passer en 3.2 si ta la chaine homebrew bien sur,mais moi j'ai pus tout reinstaller derriere j'ai eu aucun probleme,donc je pense que sa dois marcher et puis ils disent que les custom ios reste inchanger donc alors a toi de voir!!!

I'd like to test but it's the auto update that freaks me out otherwise are you sure it's functional? Because I find that the solution was found pretty quickly.

Apparently the CIOS pack doesn't work, nor does starfall or the preloader, let's hope for new versions.

because as for me I was able to reinstall them afterward.
on the other hand for starfall it's true that when the console reboots it tells you there's an error!!!

Well I'll wait a while before installing it, so that there are updates to be able to launch backups from the disc channel and to be able to use starfall and the preloader, but it's really cool!

And by the way, since 3.4, the Wii updates itself on its own, and if we install this firmware, won't it risk updating itself and thus going back to an official version, and then it's all over?

Excellent travail de Waninkoko, une fois de plus, et merci salahpayne pour la nouvelle.
Bon j'attendrai quelques temps avant de l'installer, histoire qu'il y ait eu des majs pour pouvoir lancer depuis la chaîne disque ses backups et qu'on puisse utiliser starfall et le preloader, mais c'est vraiment cool !

Et par contre, depuis la 3.4, la Wii se met à jour tout seule, et si on installe ce firmware, ne risque-t-elle pas de se mettre à jour et donc reprendre une version officielle, et là tout est fini ?

So I installed this famous 4.00 menu then the Preloader ... It bricked my Wii XDD

Alors j'ai installé ce fameux menu 4.00 puis le Preloader ... Ca a briqué ma Wii XDD

same for me brick of the wii when I wanted to reinstall the prelloader I still only had access to homebrew channel.
I re-downgraded to 3.2e and everything worked again

pareille pour moi brick de la wii quand j'ai voulu réinstaller le prelloader j'avais juste encore accès a hombrew channel.
j'ai re downgrader en 3.2e et tout a refonctioner
