Red R4I sdhc.... Which linker???

My daughter has a dsi + red box R4I SDHC.
I went to the site shown on the box, downloaded the version indicated and.... Nothing except a nice error message telling me to press the power button.... then nothing more!!!
Who can help me????
I should mention that I know absolutely nothing about DSI!!

what is the exact address that's on the box?
what is the firmware version of your dsi?

turn on the DSI ----- settings ----- and look for the version: 1.4 or 1.4.1

look on the box. You should also have a mention of 1.4 or 1.4.1!!?? If there's 1.4 on the box but your dsi's firmware is 1.4.2, it's dead for a good while. Clearly the team is having trouble solving the problem. So I'd recommend the M3i zero (blue box)

dsi ver 1.4E
however on my box there's no 1.4 or 1.41 version, just R4I SDHC Upgrade. Red box

so if there's nothing then your linker is older than the 1.4 or 1.4.1 versions (while possibly being materially identical to the 1.4)

above all don't do the 1.4.1 update on your dsi

then look at this page: https://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp
there are 3 boxes that correspond to 3 hardware versions of this same linker.
the first with the 1.4 or 1.4.1 version marked on the linker
the second for linkers without the small "i" above the big "4" of "R4"
the third for linkers with the "i" but with no mention of version 1.4 or 1.4.1

look carefully at your linker and dl the latest version that matches it (in fr of course

I downloaded the 3rd version with the i next to the 4 without the 1.4 mention
I extracted the archive and afterwards I pasted the contents of the resulting folder at the root of my micro sd and still the same error....
You're right Oops R4 Crap!!
My daughter's godfather thought he was doing well by giving her a DSI with an R4....

I just reread your first message and just realized you don't even have the health warning message assuming it's still there on dsi. I think it's a hardware problem.

hello,
3 ds + 1 dsi at home equipped with ezflash cards. the Vi for the dsi, simple to set up, easy to use ..... in short pure joy!!!
good luck with your r4, I struggled quite a bit at a friend's place and ended up saying:
uh....... do you know anyone who has one? ........ there I'm stuck!!!!

ps; I didn't quite understand the problem...
explain better if you want us to help you, DSI VERSION etc... (And for the DS lite the recent ones have anti-Linker protections that the newer ones bypass easily)

meh... there are pictures but as far as being complete goes this tutorial is far from it. It doesn't even mention the different versions of this linker

TELL us which sdhc card you have
if it's a 2go or more because I think your problem must come from that. try to check some tutorials
because even with a 1.14 version it should work fine, I have two at home, I upgraded up to 1.28, that works, reformat your sd then download from the official r4 upgrade site
then you must have made the same mistake as me a while back
it's patching a game that gets stuck on boot
the game is call of duty which causes a kernel problem
otherwise do you have software to watch video, see if that's what's causing the problem too
so in the end reformat the sd card and start over from the beginning lol but that's your only option
otherwise go buy another card because when everything works we say it's good and when it breaks we say it's crap.......
in my opinion you're mixing up the ds and dsi version
