PS3SX: PS1 emulator for PS3 Image unavailable (removed by its host)

PS3SX is a port of the PCSX emulator for PS3 on Firmware 3.41.
It was made using Sony's SDK and PS1Light.
PS3SX supports roms in .iso .bin .mds .img format and even save files.
The author of this port did not want to reveal his name.

Installing PS3SX:

1.Download and unzip the archive available below.
2.Copy the "ps3sx_Beta.pkg" package to the root of your USB drive.
3.Create the folders "bios", "MC" (Memory Card) and "psxrom" at the root of your USB drive.
4.Copy your ROMs into the "psxrom" folder and the PS1 BIOS (not distributed for legal reasons) into "bios".
5.Start your PS3 in JailBreak mode.
6.Install the emulator via the "Install Package File" option in the "Game" menu.

PS3SX est un portage de l'émulateur PCSX destiné aux PS3 en Firmware 3.41.

Installation de PS3SX :

1.Téléchargez et décompressez l'archive disponible plus bas.
2.Copiez le package"ps3sx_Beta.pkg" à la racine de votre clé USB.
3.Créez les dossiers "bios", "MC" (Memory Card) et "psxrom" à la racine de votre clé USB.
4.Copiez vos ROMs dans le dossier "psxrom" et le BIOS (non distribué pour raison de légalité) de la PS1 dans "bios".
5.Démarrez votre PS3 en mode JailBreak.
6.Installez l'émulateur via l'option"Install Package File" du menu "Jeu".

Normally it's functional but not on every game for example: FF7 black screen right after new game...

Normalement il est fonctionnel mais pas sur tout les jeux exemple : FF7 écran noir juste après new game ...

uh as for me I get a black screen as soon as I launch it then the console freezes and needs a mandatory reboot, there you go!!!

I just barely dumped my Vrally2! (too scratched to put it in my console)
but there, the emulator won't launch even when trying every available bios...
also forced to restart the console!
if anyone has succeeded let them PM me or speak up HERE

quelqu'un a déjà réussi ?
Je viens a peine de dumper mon Vrally2 ! (trop rayé pour le mettre dans ma console)
mais voila, l'émulateur ne se lance pas même en testant mettant toutes les bios disponibles...
obligé aussi de redémarrer la console !

Test done in both USB ports, (Ps3key atmel in version 4.5)
PS3 on version 3.41, it launches homebrews just fine, except this one which gives me a black screen and freezes the console, forcing me to restart the console.

Test effectuer dans les 2 ports USB, (Ps3key atmel en version 4.5)
PS3 en version 3.41, elle lance bien les homebrews, sauf celui-ci qui me fait un écran noir et me fige la console, obligé de redémarrer la console.
peut-tu essayer toi aussi ARNAUTO !

Yes salah the biosphere is indeed in the folder of the same name.

Well as for me I tested it on release day and Black screen, forced to shut down the console the hard way "from the back " haven't tested since. it's up to you to lead an investigation and keep me posted

Ben moi j'ai testé le jour de la release et Écran noir Obliger d'éteindre la console a la barbare "par derrière " depuis j'ai plus testé . a toi de mener une enquéte et de me tenir au courant

I'm new around here

I'll share my config, because on my end the emulator purrs along nicely when it wants to boot (2-3/5)..

-OFW 3.41 PS3 PHAT 80gb upgraded to 640gb scorpio
-dongle: P3Go GT Break (inserted in the USB port furthest right of the BD drive)
-PLAYLOAD HERMES V4b + spoof 3.50
-ps3sx + plugin by mathieulh (the sha-1 is identical to the archive posted above but only this last one [] ps3sx + plugin by mathieulh [] works for me)
I'll also remind you that the right bios version is also important = GOOGLE\SCPH0001.bin

-resident evil director cut (boot = ok-Missing the game items (you can't open doors, climb stairs, etc.. speed too fast it's speeding full on lol)

- FF7 pending... but should work fully and without bugs!
--><-- FF7 boots, but bugs and freezes on the first fight on the station platform..

je vous file ma configuration, car chez moi l'émulateur ronronne bien quand il veut booter (2-3/5 )..

-OFW 3.41 PS3 PHAT 80go passer en 640go scorpio

reinstall the .pkg 1.71 (see my archives further below) before every launch of ps3sx! the boot will have "more" of a chance to happen

On my config I tried several times and it now works once out of 2! that's pretty good ^^
