It was indeed the absence of the language.ini file but why didn't it download on its own?

Because quite simply that option doesn't exist. But how did you install Wiiflow??
So problem solved for you

Very simply by placing WIIFLOW's boot.dol in the WIIFLOW directory then doing an update: In that case I imagined all the necessary files would be downloaded, which is true except for the language.ini ...

Here's an excerpt from page 1 of the TGAMES WIIFLOW topic:
SD or USB:
- The first time Wiiflow is used, it looks for a FAT32 partition on your HDD and if it exists the files/folders needed by Wiiflow will be created there (/apps/wiiflow/ and /wiiflow/). If you don't have a FAT32 partition on your HDD, it will create the folders on the SD.

Car tout simplement cette option n'existe pas. Mais comment tu as installé Wiiflow ??
Donc problème résolu pour toi

Très simplement en plaçant le boot.dol de WIIFLOW dans le répertoire de WIIFLOW puis en faisant une mise à jour : Dans ce cas j'imaginais que tous les fichiers utiles seraient téléchargés ce qui est vrai sauf pour le language.ini ...

Voila un extrait de la page 1 du sujet WIIFLOW de TGAMES :
SD ou USB :
- Lors de la première utilisation de Wiiflow, il cherche une partition FAT32 sur votre HDD et si celle ci existe les fichiers/dossiers néccessaires à Wiiflow y seront créés (/apps/wiiflow/ et /wiiflow/). Si vous n'avez pas de partition FAT32 sur votre HDD, il créera les dossiers sur la SD.

Thanks Jiiwah but I can't get the themes for r108 they won't download, it would be nice to re-up them on Mu or Mediafire (whenever you have time of course) because as soon as I launch firefox and chrome it crashes badly thanks in advance

Yes of course, or even a backup of your own original!!

I tried with a backup I made of the CARS game in NTSC that I bought on my last trip to the USA, it doesn't work. Right now I'm making a backup of Tony Hawk PAL, from an original of course, to see if it works better.
For Wii backups, r108_222 doesn't read them, but Miigotu gave me a version that works, so for r109 it should be good.

Oui bien sur, voir même un backup de SON orginal !!

J'ai essayé avec un backup que j'ai fait du jeu CARS en NTSC que j'ai acheté lors de mon dernier voyage aux USA, il passe pas. Là je suis en train de faire un backup de Tony Hawk PAL, d'un original bien sur, pour voir si il passe mieux.
Pour les backup Wii, la r108_222 ne les lit pas, mais Miigotu m'a filé une version qui fonctionne, donc pour la r109 ca sera bon.

Well I had a bit of free time this afternoon, and I wanted to try out customizemii a bit, see if it was as good as wadder.
Actually I'm not disappointed, it's 1000 times better than wadder ^^
Anyway, so I took the opportunity to make forwarders matching my themes.
They're all based on the first one I made, carbonik, so they have the same animation, but each time I changed the image colors to match the themes, and I replaced the background with the matching theme's.

They all look for wiiflow in the following directories:
USB:/apps/wiiflow/boot.dol
SD:/apps/wiiflow/boot.dol

They all have a loading image, in the theme's color of course, and they all have a different ID, which means if you want you can have all 4 installed at the same time ^^

As a reminder, my themes are all available here, compatible with WiiFlow 2.1 r108 and up

Bon j'avais un peu de temps à perdre cet aprem , et je voulais tester un peu customizemii , voir si c'était aussi bien que wadder.
En fait je ne suis pas déçu , c'est 1000 fois mieux que wadder ^^
Bref , du coup j'en ai profité pour faire des forwarders en concordance avec mes thèmes.
Ils sont tous basés sur le premier que j'avais fait , carbonik , donc ils ont la même animation , mais j'ai à chaque fois changé les couleurs des images pour qu'elles correspondent aux thèmes , et j'ai remplacé le background par celui du thème correspondant.

Il cherchent tous wiiflow dans les répertoires suivants :
USB:/apps/wiiflow/boot.dol
SD:/apps/wiiflow/boot.dol

Ils ont tous une image de chargement , de la couleur du thème bien sur , et ils ont tous un ID différent , ce qui fait que si vous voulez vous pouvez avoir les 4 installés en même temps ^^

For everyone who installed one of my forwarders, there was an issue with it, quite nasty actually, that causes the console to freeze under certain conditions, forcing you to unplug it to turn it off.

Anyway, I fixed the problem, so if you installed one of my forwarders, redownload it, and reinstall it

Pour tous ceux qui auraient installé un de mes forwarders , il y avait un souci avec , ps bien méchant , mais qui fait freezer la console dans certaines conditions , et oblige à la débrancher pour pouvoir l'éteindre.

Bref , j'ai corrigé le problème , donc si vous avez installé un de mes forwarders , retéléchargez le , et réinstallez le

hi it's still kind of a shame that jiiwah or someone else keeps uploading the new versions when they've put an upgrade on the wii but the new versions don't always arrive and for the themes compatible with r108 etc why not include the theme update at the same time as the .dol update?

Only the so-called stable versions are integrated into Wiiflow's internal updater.
Which means the updater is always a few versions behind compared to the "real" available version.
Jiiwah posts these beta versions here so you can test them anyway

As for the idea of including the themes in the updater, that's not a bad idea, we've already thought about it, still need to figure out how to manage it, and whether Miigotu would agree ^^

Ne sont intégrées à l'updater interne de Wiiflow que les versions dites stables.
Ce qui fait que l'updater a toujours quelques versions de retard par rapport à la "vraie" version dispo.
Jiiwah vous poste ici ces betas-versions de manière à ce que vous puissiez les tester malgré tout

Quant à l'idée d'inclure les thèmes à l'updater , c'est pas idiot , on y a déjà pensé , reste à voir comment gérer ça , et si Miigotu serait d'accord ^^

You're really pissing me off, how is that a shame??

1. As Benjay said "Only the so-called stable versions are integrated into Wiiflow's internal updater."
2. I offer the dol for those who want to test the so-called unstable ones and therefore not available with the updater. Some test these versions and report bugs to me, thanks to them!!
3. Not everyone has wifi or a Wii connected to the net.
4. Not everyone knows how to compile source code.
5. Only those who want to and know what they're doing take my dols.
6. The links to download the latest release are always available on my topic (r92a2) for those who don't want to overthink it.

1. Comme l'a dit Benjay "Ne sont intégrées à l'updater interne de Wiiflow que les versions dites stables."
2. Je propose le dol pour ceux qui veulent tester les dites non stables et donc pas dispo avec l'updater. Certains testent ces versions et me rapportent des bugs, merci à eux !!
3. Tout le monde n'a pas le wifi ou une Wii connectée au net.
4. Tout le monde ne sait pas compiler un code source.
5. Prennent mes dols que ceux qui veulent et ceux qui savent ce qu'ils font.
