This is my first tutorial, so please be lenient, thanks.
I'm going to show you (or rather explain to you) how to turn your Wii into a Media Center for free.
Required equipment:
-A Wii (not possible )
-A Computer (can be useful)
-An internet connection (if you're reading this topic you have one)
-The Internet Channel (downloadable from the Wii Shop for 0 points)
Let's begin.
First step, download this file (password: tgames) and install it:
Once installed, launch it.
You'll get to this:
Click on "Launch Media Center"
Your browser will open showing a web page. DO NOT CLOSE IT!!
Then, go into the Programs Files folder of your hard drive, then into Red Kawa and finally Media Center. You'll see this: Image unavailable (removed by its host)
Go into the "software" folder and put your multimedia files like this:
Music in the "Music" folder in MP3 format
Videos in the "Video" folder in FLV format
Images in the "Pictures" folder in JPG format
Once that's done, close the folder and turn on the Wii. Start the Internet Channel by entering your IP in the address bar. You'll land on the same page that opened in your web browser on the PC. Go into the folders you want and enjoy the Media Center on your Wii
EDIT: To find your I.P, go to the Start menu, Run then type "cmd" in the window that opens. Then, type "ipconfig" in the black window and write down what's shown after IP Address.
REEDIT: A LITTLE THANK YOU COSTS NOTHING
that's how he is that guy!!! he shows up, first message and boom!!! a tuto. well... thanks
just 2 simple criticisms easy to fix I think:
- you gave a link to another site. personally that doesn't bother me but most sites. use megaupload or mediafire and the tags:
- your images are too small, could they be the thumbnails!??
and to complete your tuto, for those who don't know their IP: > Find your IP <
