Hello,

I made a small program, CoverWii.
You enter a game's ID and it downloads the covers (2d,3d,full,fullhq FR version) and the disc image (that one's in EN but it's the same) from WiiTDB.
It puts them in a "covers" folder on your desktop.
It's really, really, really simple: it doesn't handle missing files (version 1.2 lets you know what you've downloaded!), it uses another program for the download...

But I'm sharing it anyway!

J'ai fait un petit programme,CoverWii.
Vous entrez l'ID d'un jeu et il télécharger les covers (2d,3d,full,fullhq version FR) et l'image du disque (là c'est l'EN mais c'est la même) depuis WiiTDB.
Il les place dans un dossier "covers" sur votre bureau.
C'est vraiment trèèèèèèèsssss simple : il ne gère pas l'absence des fichiers (la version 1.2 permet de savoir ce qu'on a téléchargé !), il utilise un autre programme pour le téléchargement...

Mais je le partage !

I just downloaded 3 IDs, it works very well and indeed it's very simple.

Suggestion: Have the option to choose the type of cover to download (2d, 3d, Full..All)

Je viens de dl 3 ID, ca marche très bien et effectivement c'est très simple.

However I didn't understand "it doesn't handle missing files". Which files? What happens when there aren't any?

Par contre j'ai pas compris le "il ne gère pas l'absence des fichiers". Quels fichiers? il se passe quoi quand il n'y en a pas?

But I don't know how to make a GUI, so it'll stay in console

Je travaille sur un menu genre NUS Auto Downloader.
Mais par contre je ne sais pas faire de GUI,ça restera en console

however it puts the images in:

C:\Documents and Settings\sonia\Desktop\covers

and not on the desktop

Use Qt, it's fairly simple to create windows with it ^^

Utilise Qt, c'est plutôt simple de créer des fenêtres avec ^^

Yes that's the small drawback but the worst is the ERROR: Download failed [404 Not Found], too bad but otherwise really, thanks, I hope it'll be sorted out in the next versions!

The accents => I forgot to do something, I'll fix it tomorrow.

The 404 errors => it can't find something. It then tries the English version but if there's no EN cover well... it downloads nothing. That's why it doesn't work with NTSC covers

As for the desktop, it's because the name changes depending on the Windows version...
I'll see where I can put that...


In short: wait for tomorrow, I'll publish a new version...

Les accents => j'ai oublié de faire un truc,je corrige ça demain.

Les erreurs 404 => il ne trouve pas quelque chose.Il essaye après la version anglaise mais si y'a pas de cover EN bah... il télécharge rien.C'est pour ça que ça marche pas avec les covers NTSC

Pour le bureau c'est que le nom change selon les versions de Windows...
Je verrrais où je peux mettre ça...


En gros : attendez demain,je publierais une nouvelle version...

I think the save will be in My Documents.
For NTSC covers I'm not too sure...
I'm thinking of putting a choice at the start (game region: PAL / NTSC / JAP)
And the program will try to download in FR then in EN then in other languages to have more chances of getting a cover!

Je pense mettre un choix au début (région du jeu : PAL / NTSC / JAP)

works very well for me but where do we find the game IDs apart from on wiitdb???? otherwise might as well get them directly from that site

marche très bien chez moi mais on trouve où les ID des jeux a part sur wiitdb ???? sinon autant les prendre direct sur ce site

with your loader, it also gives you the IDs

avec ton loader, il te donne aussi les ID

Thanks a lot, really good idea. However, as you pointed out, for certain games (colin 2 for example) it doesn't get everything, so I took your idea actually your download.exe file, and I created a .bat script to go fetch all the languages.

FR then if it doesn't exist US and EN so in the end we can download everything I also included in my script a small summary at the end of what was downloaded.

I'm going to try to set it up so that at the start I have the option to have the downloaded files placed directly onto the wii (of course the wii will be on and ftpii running)

If you want I can send you the script.

However I'll probably redo it from A to Z avoiding using your download.exe file and using a built-in windows command

Merci a toi super bonne idee. Cependant comme tu l a indique sur certain jeu (colin 2 par exemple) il ne prend pas tout j ai donc repris ton idee enfin ton fichier download.exe et j ai creer un script .bat pour allez chercher toutes les langues.

FR puis si il est inexistant US et EN donc du coup on peut tout telecharger j ai egalement integre dans mon script un petit resume a la fin de ce qu il a etait telecharge.

Je vais essaie de mettre en place qu au debut j ai la possibilite que les fichiers telecharges ce mette directement sur la wii (biensur la wii sera allume et ftpii lance)

Si tu veux je peux t envoyer le script.

Cependant je vais surement le refaire de A a Z un evitant d utiliser ton fichier download.exe et d utiliser un commande de windows integre
