that's not the case and stealing the cios on gba temp is lame like installing ios 38merged 37 as

aaah lalaaaa but you're annoying with that... but who cares about using ios222 or 223... if you can make a choice at installation it's not for nothing. What matters is using IOS38 merged with IO37". 222, 223 or XXX, it's just a number. The number of the slot where you're going to install the cIOS. It's the content that's used not the container. Then, of course, it's up to you to set your homebrews according to this choice. If you prefer to use cIOS223, well go ahead... go on my boy...

For others like ios249 it's waninkoko who imposed it. And yet... we saw cIOS199 appear but the content stays the same. Just need to set the homebrews accordingly.
For 202 that's also a forced choice "IOS38 merged with IOS60". If you make another choice - and you can - homebrews like MPlayer ce, WiiXplorer, etc... won't work.

good evening,
so I cracked my wii a long time ago now, until now everything went fine, but now with new super mario it doesn't work,
I still have the files I used to crack it
it was this pack "_RTU_ Installer CIOSCORP.rar"
and apparently it's cios rev 7
with starfall installed and the homebrew channel

so, how do I read this mario?
can I install cios 38 rev 17 directly?
will I be able to play new super mario?

I should mention I'm on 3.2e and I play games on dvd

You can use Neogamma r8 RC1 or patch New Super mario Bros Wii.
I also recommend updating your cioscorp..

you can install rev17 over rev7.

ps: for neogamma, look at my signature

if I understood correctly, without internet on the wii I need to put the file IOS38-64-v3867.wad at the root of my sd?
and that will play mario afterwards?

otherwise how do I patch mario so it works?
and does Neogamma r8 RC1 work with my cios version?

no need to patch, NeoGamma does it on the fly.
no you need at least rev14 but rev17 is the best waninkoko has ever released.
