It's indeed about support for multi-disc games such as Baten Kaitos.

You just need to put the two ISO's in one folder. Title the first disc "game.iso" and the second "disc2.iso"

crediar having updated DM 2.6 without any fanfare, I've therefore re-uploaded the archive.
If the date of DIOSMIOS_2.6.wad is 01/12/2012 01:53, I strongly recommend downloading this new archive.
If your file is dated 01/12/2012 16:43, you have the right version.

What changed? Fix for a bug during compilation.

Hello everyone

Thanks for your tutorials I'm learning a lot right now.
I can't get DIOS MIOS to work.
If I understood correctly gamecube games only work with the MIOS and BC V6.

I get a black screen even before the DIOS MIOS splash screen whether on Backup on HDD (in FAT 32 primary partition with 32k clusters) but worse, it also doesn't work with an original cd in the drive. (First generation Wii with the gamecube controller ports obviously).
As soon as I put back the original MIOS, games on the drive work again (Backups obviously not).

On the DIOS MIOS wiki they talk about a black screen before the splash being a HDD issue, fine, but if I can't even read a gamecube game in the drive, I don't see how the HDD is at fault.

Any idea?

Ps: I'm going to go decathlon to get myself a DIOS MIOS

There is indeed no connection between HDD compatibility and reading original discs.

For some, the disc reading problem was solved by installing an earlier version of DIOS MIOS.

Regarding the HDD, is the partition properly marked as active?

I checked my hard drive carefully, it has only one active primary FAT 32 partition with 32K clusters.

I tried with DIOS MIOS 2.8 same problem nothing happens, I tried with DIOS MIOS LITE, the original gamecube games work fine with the DIOS MIOS splashscreen
I tried to make an emulated nand for neek2o, I managed to use quadforce for Mario Kart gp.
I tried putting it on another emulated nand with DIOS MIOS UNEEK as shown in your NEEK2O tutorial.
it doesn't work either, no splashscreen.

I'm out of ideas here

So you can conclude that your HDD is incompatible with DIOS MIOS.

After formatting my old 300gb HDD as primary active 32k clusters, dios mios worked on the first try on it.
I'm disgusted

I wanted to switch to a bigger one.
I'm still within the 7 days, I'm going to get a refund.
Just need to check here from now on so I don't get burned

Well carrefour doesn't refund within 7 days once it's been opened.
Forced to keep my HDD that doesn't work with dios mios ...Argh
Can someone explain to me why this incompatibility by the way? ..as far as I know it's still the only software that has this kind of problem though.
I'm not questioning the developer's work, I'd be far from being able to do what he did.

you have to understand there's a huge number of controllers. Some don't work and there's not much that can be done about it because it would take a phenomenal amount of time to make them all compatible, assuming that's even possible

DIOS MIOS isn't a homebrew but a program replacing the Mios, so it has to respect restrictions such as program size or the memory available for its execution. Because of that, Crediar has to make compromises in integrating features.

Also, aside from the compatible chipset issue, there's also a constant which is being incompatible with all HDDs having 4kb sectors.

Hello mios masters. I was wondering if it's possible to play games burned onto dvd using gc launcher or neogamma with a suitable cMIOS installed on an emulated nand? For games needing audio streaming (like alien hominid) I tried launching neogamma from my emulated nand via Postloader but without success. What do you recommend? install an older version of the homebrew channel on my emulated nand? or use another homebrew launcher like homebrew filter?

Hi

for those who want to launch on emulated nand

For uneek and neek2o you need to have bootmii in boot2
doesn't work if in ios

for neek2o rev96 don't use the channel (uses ios 253 I think or 254)
use the bootmii folder for auto start (put the armboot.bin from the bootmiineek folder)

for uneek use rev 195 (197 works but there are issues with the DI menu for displaying installed channels

Same for quadforce

according to the neek2o changelog via modmii it should be possible to install cioscorp on emulated nand
but I don't really see the point since no more DI menu

otherwise dios mios on emulated nand (uneek for my part) works, same for quad force I use a version of sciifii (beta currently being tested) to switch nand rather than switch2uneek and not the totally crappy channel installed via modmii
I have GCBL+cmios on real nand

and dios mios and quad force on emulated nand sciifii just renames the desired files in xml so that both work

go on explain because on my end if I use the neek2o channel it reboots endlessly whereas if I use the bootmii folder no issue for either

There's nothing to explain, I've always used Neek2o that way without questioning it, also my emulated NANDs have no cIOS which I don't see the use of here.

yes I know but there's still the bin file and the app file for download at the start of the topic for the emulated nand

sneek, dios mios and quadforce go together

I'm not going to open a topic for that

We must not be reading the same thing here. You claim thatyou need to have bootmii in boot2 to use Neek2o and I'm telling you that's not how I use it.
