hi everyone,
I need a bit of advice, the screen on my DS KL, the bottom one, is dead. It's all black with what looks like a white "line" from top to bottom.
What is there to change, the LCD screen or the touch screen? I looked a bit and there's every price, you see screens at 10€ and others at 50.... I'm a bit lost here

j'ai besoin d'un petit conseil, l'écrande ma DS KL, celui du bas, est HS. Il est tout noir avec comme un "fil" blanc de haut en bas.
Qu'est ce qu'il y a a changer, l'écran LCD ou le tactile ? J'ai regarder un peu et il y a tous les prix, on voit des écran à 10€ et d'autres à 50.... suis un peu perdu là

In my opinion, if it's your bottom screen that's not working then it is indeed the TOUCH screen that's faulty.
however to open your console you need a special wii screwdriver, the triwing.
Selon moi, si c'est ton écran du bas qui ne fonctionne pas alors c'est bien l’écran TACTILE qui est en défaut.
par contre pour ouvrir ta console il te faut un tournevis spéciale wii, le triwing.
the bottom screen is touch so it's the touch screen that needs changing. unlike smartphones, the touch and the lcd are one single piece. I had a screen changed on a ds lite by bigN, when it came back the screen was a bit off with an annoying big light streak (60€). On another ds lite, I changed it myself, the white was seriously leaning toward yellow (12€)

still, the touch screen is easier to change than the other screen
l'écran du bas est tactile c'est donc l'écran tactile qu'il faut changé. contrairement au smartphone, le tactile et le lcd sont en une seul pièce. J'ai fait changé un écran sur une sd lite par bigN, au retour l'écran était un peu de travers avec un gros filet lumineux bien gênant (60€). Sur une autre ds lite, je l'ai changé moi même, le blanc tirait sérieusement sur le jaune (12€)

reste que l'écran tactile est plus facile à changer que l'autre écran
actually I followed a site's tutorial for the disassembly (I don't know if I can post the link here?)
in this tutorial they talk about changing the LCD or the touch one since the 2 separate, so now I'm lost...
en fait j'ai suivi le tuto d'un site pour le démontage (je sais pas si je peux mettre le lien ici ?)
sur ce tuto il parle de changer le LCD ou le tactile car les 2 se séparent, du coup suis paumé...
I disassembled everything and plugged it in once "stripped down" the LCD is black with something like a white wire laid on top, as for the touch screen I don't know how you tell it's the one that's dead given you can buy the 2 parts separately...
j'ai tout démonté et branché une fois "désossé" le LCD est noir avec comme un fil blanc posé dessus, pour l"écran tactile je sais pas comment tu vois que c'est lui qui est HS et vu qu'on peut acheter les 2 pièces séparement...

Every time I've ordered something from HK, either it got stuck at customs, or it took 1 month to arrive....
Otherwise do you think it's just the LCD that needs changing? for the touch one how can you tell if it's dead or not?

A chaque fois que j'ai commandé un truc à HK, soit c'était bloqué en douane, soit ca mettait 1 mois pour venir....
Sinon tu penses que c'est que le LCD qu'il faut changer ? pour le tactile comment on peut voir s'il est HS ou pas ?
yes but on my link there's only the LCD, not the touch one (it's 9€ more). however it's sold separately so I'll still have this dust issue between the 2 that you mentioned...
however, good news, on my link shipping is free, that's rare!
yes mais sur mon lien y'a que le LCD, pas le tactile (il est à 9€ de plus). par contre c'est vendu séparément donc j'aurai toujours ce pb de poussière entre les 2 que tu disais...
par contre, bonne nouvelle, sur mon lieu le port est gratuit, c'est rare !
yes, yes, I had seen that but given they sell the touch one separately and 29 for everything seems cheap to me given the prices elsewhere I figured there was a mistake in the photo, I'll look into it and go with that if it's a complete pack and if it's just the LCD I'll only try changing that, to be continued!
si, si, j'avais bien vu mais vu qu'il vendent le tactile à part et que 29 pour le tout ça me parait pas cher vu les prix ailleurs je me disais qu'il y avait erreur sur la photo, je vais me renseigner et partir la dessus si c'est un pack complet et si c'est c'est que le LCD je tenterais uniquement son changement, à suivre !
so it's done the fix is made, it was just the LCD, the photo on my link is indeed wrong but given the price it's more than fair. Plus the screen came with a good quality screwdriver and a special plastic tool for the ribbon locks etc

alors c'est bon la manip est faite, c'était que le LCD, la photo d emon lien est bien fausse mais vu le prix c'est largement correct. En plus avec l'écran était fourni tournevis de bonne qualité et une pince plastique spéciale pour les blocages des nappes etc
