DriveClub runs natively on PC: 0.3.0 adds DLSS and HDR

DriveClub Recomp runs the PS4 version of DriveClub natively on Windows; version 0.3.0 adds DLSS and FSR upscaling, HDR10 and steering wheels.

DriveClub, playable on PC at last

DriveClub, Evolution Studios' racing game released on PS4 in 2014, shut down its servers in 2020 and never had a PC version. DriveClub Recomp, by OverkillLabs3, runs it natively on Windows since its version 0.1.0 of 16 October 2026. The game's x86-64 code runs directly on the CPU, with no emulation: the PS4 system libraries are rewritten and the graphics commands translated to Vulkan, much like Wine and DXVK. The game is playable from the menus to the races, with photo mode and saves.

What's new in 0.3.0

Released on 23 October:
  • DLSS (GeForce RTX) and FSR 3.1 (any card) now do upscaling, not just anti-aliasing, with a sharpness setting;
  • an HDR10 output on compatible displays;
  • rewritten steering wheel support: force feedback computed from the front tyres, pedals and handbrake on their own USB port, Fanatec bases;
  • faster rendering on two threads, cars that load faster, and less pop-in in the distance.
On the authors' test machine (RTX 5070 Ti, Ryzen 7 5800X3D), the game holds about 60 fps in 4K in the heaviest scenes. DLC content (cars, bikes, tours) can be unlocked from your own files, and a mods folder accepts file replacements.

What you need
  • your own dumps of the base game and its 1.28 update, US (CUSA00093) or European (CUSA00003, less tested) version. No game files are included;
  • Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, at least an Intel Haswell, AMD Excavator or Ryzen CPU, a Vulkan 1.3 graphics card and about 40 GB of free space.

The limits

Online play doesn't work, some reflections are too bright, and only NVIDIA cards have been tested. The first few minutes stutter while shaders are prepared. Frame generation is announced for the next release. To play your other PS4 games on PC, see our shadPS4 tutorial.
