The previous version of TWiLight dated from May.

Launched from the SD card of a DSi or 3DS, TWiLight Menu++ can access the microSD of a flashcart inserted in the cartridge slot (Slot-1). 27.25 extends this support to:
- R4 (the original, which does not read SDHC cards);
- DSTT and its Demon and DSTTi clones;
- Acekard 2 and 2i, CycloDS Evolution, DSpico, EZ Flash Parallel, Games n’ Music and N-Card.
- a forced widescreen mode, adjustable game by game, and better detection of the codes that enable it;
- the Super Nintendo and Mega Drive emulators no longer require Unlaunch;
- on DSi, jEnesisDS runs Mega Drive games up to 4 MB;
- the signature check for DS Download Play is disabled by default;
- icons can be moved with the stylus, and the image viewer now uses both screens.
nds-bootstrap 2.17: the 10th anniversary release
The project, launched in 2016, celebrated its tenth anniversary on 4 October. On the menu:
- jEnesisDS and SNEmulDS read the SD card and keep their saves, instead of a RAM disk wiped at every power-off. On DSi, the jEnesisDS limit goes from 3 to 4 MB: Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic 3D Blast or Toy Story become playable.
- A “Slot-1” mode boots DSiWare faster, and turns on by itself for titles larger than 64 MB.
- No more slowdowns in Mario Kart DS or freezes in the fourth-generation Pokémon games (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver). Lux-Pain, CSI and Need for Speed Carbon are also fixed.
- The DSi Camera app can display photos again.
