Zelda Twilight Princess on PC: Dusklight 2.0 adds mods and a randomizer
2026 update: Dusklight now also runs natively on jailbroken PS5 and on Switch; the follow-up is in our news story Zelda Twilight Princess on jailbroken PS5 and on Switch: Dusklight ported natively.
The native PC port of Zelda: Twilight Princess reaches version 2.0: Dusklight now supports mods, includes a randomizer and accepts discs of the Wii version.
What is Dusklight?
It is a reimplementation of the game, built by the TwilitRealm collective on top of the Twilight Princess decompilation. The game does not go through an emulator: it runs natively on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and iOS.
What's new in 2.0
Version 2.0.0 was released on 19 September 2026, followed by three patches, up to 2.0.3 on 30 September.
What you need
Dusklight does not provide the game: you need an image of your own disc of Twilight Princess, GameCube or Wii, dumped with CleanRip on a Wii. This is the rule common to all these ports built on decompilations, and the reason they can exist out in the open.
To dump your discs, you need a hacked Wii: our tutorial hacking your Wii in 2026 starts from scratch.
