[TUTORIAL] Installation and configuration CFW HEN 6.20 PRO-B10

I may have explained myself badly, actually I followed the tutorial to the letter, just skipping the Fast Recovery part and going straight to the permanent patch. Everything happens as described in the tutorial, except for the end, namely that when I turn off the console, and turn it back on by pressing the R trigger, well the recovery menu doesn't appear and I go back to the xmb. I tried pressing the trigger before turning on the console, after, but no recovery menu!!!!!!!

Je me suis peut être mal exprimé, en fait j'ai exécuté le tuto à la lettre, en strappant juste la partie Fast Recovery et en passant directement au patch permanent. Tout se passe comme décrit dans le tuto, sauf la fin à savoir que lorsque j’éteins la console, que je la rallume en appuyant sur la gâchette R, bah le recovery menu n'apparait pas et je revient au xmb. J'ai essayé en appuyant sur la gâchette avant d'allumer la console, après, mais pas de recovery menu!!!!!!!

If you go into system information, what firmware do you have?

Si tu va dans informations systeme , qu'a tu comme firmware ?

and when you press the select button do you get a menu appearing on the xmb?
also the tutorial says you need to go through fast recovery precisely to install this menu....

et quand tu appuie sur le bouton select tu as un menu qui apparait sur le xmb?
de plus le tuto dit qu'il faut passer par fast recovery pour justement installer ce menu....

Nice catch arnauto... By pressing select I get to the PRO VHS MENU with on line 6 the famous RECOVERY MENU

That doesn't explain why it doesn't work with the R trigger but anyway...(unless like you say arnauto going through Fast Recovery is mandatory?)

Cela n'explique pas pourquoi ça ne fonctionne pas avec la gâchette R mais bon...(à moins que comme tu dis arnauto le passage par le Fast Recovery soit obligatoire?)

No going through fast recovery is useful to relaunch the hen.

Avoid skipping steps of the tutorial!

I'd advise you to remove the permanent patch, uninstall PRO B8, format your memory stick and start everything from scratch.

Non le passage par le fast recovery est utile pour relancer le hen.

Evite de bypasser des phases du tuto !

Je te conseillerais , d'enlever le patch permanent , de desinstaller le PRO B8 , de formatter ta memory stick et de recommencer tout de zero.

It's all good, but I still have a question, if going through fast recovery is useful to relaunch the hen, what's it for if you apply the permanent patch?
Because apparently it worked very well even without fast recovery with access to the recovery menu...

Parce qu'a priori cela fonctionnait très bien même sans le fast recovery avec un accès au recovery menu...

Quite simply, not all Psps can use the permanent patch, so you have to think of everyone and so the only way to relaunch the non-permanent CFW is to go through fast recovery. The PRO updater is just an installer, fast recovery is a reactivator.
This also helps those who are going to install PRO B on another Psp to know the procedure.

Tout simplement, toutes les Psp ne peuvent utiliser le patch permanent, donc faut penser à tout le monde et donc la seule manière le relancer le CFW non permanent, c'est de passer par le fast recovery.L'updater PRO est juste un installeur, le fast recovery est un réactivateur.
Cela permet aussi à ceux qui vont installer le PRO B sur une autre Psp de connaitre la procédure.

oops I meant it's not clear regarding the B9 archive, the folder structure isn't right, if you put yourself in the shoes of someone who knows nothing about it, you don't get anywhere for fear of messing something up...

silly question if I accidentally format and I saved the vshorig.prx file on my pc will it work if I put it back? on the memory card?
