So there is Pentium G620T, Core i3 2100T, Core i5 2390T as well as the Core i5 2500T.
The first three models have two cores and therefore have TDPs of 35 watts. The latter is a quad-core CPU and has a thermal envelope of 45 watts. All are therefore intended for rather compact PCs with less bulky cooling systems. For some of them, they will be placed in all-in-one PCs or living room PCs for example.
But do they really consume less than standard models? What performance loss can be expected in applications like games? To find out, our colleagues compared them to their counterparts with a standard TDP of 65 watts...

formally belongs to the Core i5 series. The clock speeds of regular processors are on the pink background.
The blue background indicates the frequencies of the energy-efficient S-series CPUs with reduced 65 W TDP.
The green color indicates the frequencies of the T-series processors in the more energy-efficient series, with 35 W or 45 W TDP.
In other words, the S-series offers energy efficiency modifications faster than Sandy Bridge processors and ensures a 30% reduction in power consumption at the cost of 20% lower clock speed.
The T-series offers more dramatic energy savings, but at the same time it does not include all Quad-Core processors with Hyper-Threading support technology, and the clock speed may be 25-30% lower compared to standard CPU models.
