There are several ways to go from firmware 5.50 D GEN 3 or Promotheus V4 to official firmware 6.20 or 6.35. If you try to apply the update directly, here's the error message you'll get. Don't worry, it's a protection placed by Yoshihiro and Team Gen from 5.50 GEN D3 in your Psp's flash0. The Promotheus V4 uses the same protection. So here's the simplest procedure to manage this update. Download the Xgen updater GEN D3 final.

Unzip the archive to the root of your memory stick. Go to the Game menu then Memory Stick.
