[RESOLVED] SAV & NDS file.

Good evening (yes it's me again xD)

with a new problem this time... while trying to put a game on my DS, the firmware fried and I had to format it and all that... anyway, everything works again! ... well, everything, except one thing: the save of one of my games. indeed, the SAV file and the NDS file don't seem to have any link, yet they have the same name... let me explain:

I had made a backup of my Pokémon game save, result , I was able to put it back in my game folder, with the rom of the Pokémon game in question...problem: My save file is no longer there! and that's true even if I rename it under every possible name...

avec un nouveau problème cette fois-ci... en essayant de mettre un jeu sur ma DS, le firmware a grillé et j'ai été obligé de formater et compagnie...bref, tout remarche! ... enfin, tout, sauf une chose : la sauvegarde de l'un de mes jeux. en effet, le fichier SAV et le fichier NDS ne semblent avoir aucun lien, pourtant ils ont le même nom... j'explique :

J'avais fait un backup de ma sauvegarde de jeu Pokémon, résultat , j'ai pu le remettre dans mon dossier jeu, avec la rom du jeu Pokémon en question...problème : Ma fiche est plus là! et ce même si je le renomme sous tout les noms possibles...

what kind of linker do you have? some linkers use .sav or .nds.sav as save
if your sav file isn't... detected, save it then launch your game to create a new save then check if there's a difference

tu as quoi comme linker? certain linker utilise en save du .sav ou .nds.sav
si ton fichier sav pas... détecté, sauvegarde le puis lance ton jeu afin de creer une nouvelle sauvegarde puis regarde si il y a une différence

In reply to Oops: I have a fake R4 Revolution SDHC...my Firmware is "R4 Advance 1.20" which is the only firmware that seems to work on it. To launch Pokémon I used the very latest version of YSmenu (the game launches perfectly), but it's the save that's not working...
Each save of my games is in this form "[Game name].sav"...

En réponse à Oops : J'ai une R4 Revolution SDHC fake...j'ai comme Firmware le "R4 Advance 1.20" qui est le seul firmware a marcher dessus visiblement. Pour lancer Pokémon j'utilisais la toute dernière version du YSmenu (le jeu se lance a merveille), mais c'est la sauvegarde qui ne va pas...
Chaque sauvegarde de mes jeux sont sous cette forme "[Nom du jeu].sav" ...

Uh, the problem being that after clicking I nearly ran into a huge issue xD

Otherwise, I manage to open it under Pokésav version Pokemon Black but....It doesn't recognize my name, nor the character's gender, nor the pokémon either... the only thing it recognized from my previous game is the "99999" Pokédollars :/.... anyway, since I don't feel like redoing everything I'm going to use Pokésav to fake it...

Euh, le problème étant qu'en ayant cliqué j'ai faillis me bouffer un cheval de trois xD

Sinon, j'arrive a l'ouvrir sous Pokésav version Pokemon Black mais....Il ne reconnais pas mon nom, ni le sexe du personnage, les pokémons non-plus... la seule chose qu'il a reconnu de ma précédente partie, ce sont les "99999" Pokédollars :/.... m'enfin bon, comme j'ai pas envie de tout me retaper je vais me servir de Pokésav pour faire comme si...

pokesave try to manually put your name back in if you can't try this (no huge issue )

Still the same problem...even though I renamed the Rom and the SAV with the same name, the profile still doesn't show up...

Toujours le même problème...j'ai beau renommer la Rom et la SAV du même nom, la fiche ne s'affiche toujours pas...

YEAH! after about thirty tries, it's working again! even though it's not my game but someone else's...oh well, too bad, the AR will help me find my beloved pokémon again and by the way Pokésav let me find my name again, Yay! *o*

YEAH! après une trentaine d'essais, ça remarche! bien que ça ne soit pas ma partie mais celle d'un autre...bah, tant pis, la AR va me faire retrouver mes pokémons chéris et accessoirement Pokésav m'a permis de retrouver mon nom, Youpi! *o*
