So,
Before buying another ds, I'd like to know the concrete differences between the xl and the 3ds.
Screen size, comfort of play etc

Well, it's like comparing the PS2 and the PS3, in short, there's no contest, the 3DS has everything going for it, and the dsi is at the end of its life.

As for linkers, apparently a few linkers manage to run ds games, you can count on nintendo to fix that.

In terms of graphics and power, it's night and day, not even comparable!

yes certain DS linkers work on the 3DS however some reports mention a bricking of the 3DS after connecting to the net. Hypothesis of a log file and a deliberate intention by bigN to block the console maybe not irreversibly... Wait and see

the XL's screen is really big compared to the 3DS and the 3D becomes a gimmick after 10 minutes, that's it. personally I wouldn't put 250 euros into a handheld console with a terrible launch lineup!!

and you have to be right in front of the console to not lose the 3D effect, I really wonder how you're supposed to stay stable with a game that uses the gyroscope feature!! Iwata get lost damn it

Gyro games......... at 10 years old ^^ he doesn't care ^^.
For now we have a dslite so the screen.......... will necessarily be bigger

but he'd want the games to be more "pretty". Are the dsxl's screens really that far behind compared to the 3ds's?? (I know nobody has one yet but you surely have some good opinions

).

The graphics on the Dsi XL aren't "prettier" than those on the DSi: it's like a zoom on the screen so the bigger the screen, the huger the pixels are.

The future owner won't be online with their future ds.......
And at his age, tastes in games aren't quite the same.
Example: God of war psp, he finds that lame ^^

I remembered: some linkers work on 3ds but no internet possible though

If wifi is enabled the log is automatically sent to nintendo but that's just a rumor to put off people who are planning to pirate the console.
