[TUTORIAL] CFW Kmeaw 3.55

hi again a file would be missing to make sure we don't do a wrong update
it would be the official 3.55 from sony because if they do a more recent update and block all possibility that would be a shame.
send us a link so we can try it too please.

for my part, it's done, so from 3.41 ---> OFW 3.55 via xmb ---> CFW 3.55 kmeaw via recovery mode.. all good, so like everyone I had a freeze while navigating the xmb on first startup, since then nothing, it seems random apparently it happens at any time, go for it there's very little risk, I say very little because zero risk doesn't exist.

there's V2 and waninkoko and a 3.41 cfw from Hermes coming soon I think I'm going to take the plunge (after some feedback of course)
otherwise any volunteers for Waninkoko's V2------------>>> I'm thinking of machone

hello, great tutorial for the PS3

I have two questions
1° in the list of compatible games there are those on external hdd those on internal hdd and those where you need a game in the console. How do we put a backup on the internal disk also since the external disk must be in fat 32 so no transfer of more than 4 gigs when games are 6 to 40 gigs how do we do that too?
2° for now we're on 3.55 what will happen when SONY does a new update over the internet? risk of brick?
3° can we still play online after the hack?

there's the latest Rogero with the V5 Lvl2 patch it's the latest version but I can't advise you I'm still on 3.41.

so:
1° to know if your game is fat32 compatible (file transfer 4g or lower) you have sizefile which lets you see if your backup can be transferred directly, an 8g game doesn't necessarily have a file bigger than 4g...we're talking about a file and not a folder so...otherwise afterwards it's via ftp
2°it's very simple sony can't do anything, if there's an update we have all the tools to patch it, so if 3.56 comes out bam patched and cfw 3.56, the console is epic fail so sony has nothing left to do but cry and work on the ps4

3°yes psn is open for cfw, sony does everything it can to close that door to hackers, so expect things from them....

personally I'm pro multiman but for now it's buggy for me not very stable, otherwise gaia V2.04 works very well

but I prefer GAIA for launching my backups!!

which gaia do you have?what fw is your ps3?.if cfw 3.55 it's gaia v2.04

Not bad your video but how come some games don't work and some games I install show a - in front for example -red redomption that's weird right? On top of that it doesn't even launch grrr

games that don't work????which ones???as far as I know I don't see any.a - or where?on the manager?check your backups again, remove your managers and reinstall, a little disk maintenance with recovery mode sometimes helps by rebuilding the database because from touching things errors can creep in, I remember on 3.41 I had bugs with the managers, games I had deleted were still there(traces of them), games that wouldn't launch etc so I decided to do this operation and bam everything was back to normal.try it

for gaia there are three pkg files which one do I put

UP0001-GAIA01985_00-7679866932773369-BDRIPS.pkg

UP0001-GAIA01985_00-7679866932773369-GAMES.pkg

UP0001-GAIA01985_00-7679866932773369-GAMEZ.pkg

I wouldn't want to make a mistake because for multiman there were loads and only one was useful for rogero no problem there's only one
I think I'll do my console tomorrow thanks

they're the same but with a different path for your games folder, if you use GAMEZ then your games will be copied into GAMEZ and you'll have to create a GAMEZ folder on the external hdd (if you use it), multiman uses GAMES

good evening arnauto59, I just bought my ps3 with a 320 gb hard drive and an update to 3.55.I followed your 2 videos, to downgrade from 3.55 to 3.41 because when I have to go into service mode nothing happens like on your video and to do an official update to 3.55 I put the update on my drive and I launch update update my ps3 says it finds nothing on the drive yet the program is definitely in there and I even tried the 3.55 custom by going through recovery like on your video but it finds nothing on the drive.waiting to hear from you thanks.

ps:I must have a console that's impossible to modify lol.

did you create a PS3 folder in which you create an UPDATE folder and then it's in that folder that you put the update and not directly the update on the drive
also check that it's in FAT 32
