SOLUTION TO BE CONFIRMED Finally a fix for those who lost Bluray playback after downgrading, thanks to MAES from the Gueux forum.
Image unavailable (removed by its host) For those having a problem playing bd movies after the downgrade you need to add these files to the console's hdd:

- Divx in the DRM folder
- 2 files in vsh\bdplayer\
- the entire widgets folder

After a restart, it works again.

As we've recently learned, playing blu-ray movies after downgrading your ps3 is made impossible, this is due to the modified 3.41 firmware. Indeed it contains a bug that the developers are trying to fix.

To avoid this, the method is simple, downgrade your console to firmware 2.10 or lower, the procedure is the same except that firmware 2.10 isn't modified so it's official. After that you just need to install, through the XMB, the unmodified retail firmware 3.41 which you'll easily find on the Internet, same for 2.10.

Don't take a firmware above 2.10 because you'll be forced to temporarily change the HDD (while upgrading the ps3 to 3.41) because the console locks up while retrieving data.

This test was carried out on a 60GB model so for those who want to try it on another model, it's at your own risk.
