2026 update: this topic dates from 2010 and the tools have changed since. The up-to-date method is in our tutorial DS flashcarts and R4 in 2026: which card to buy, and installing TWiLight Menu++.
Wood R4 V1.58 Image unavailable (removed by its host) Update for the alternative firmware compatible with R4 (but not the clones) and M3 Simply.
Possibility to run the latest commercially released games.

someone brought me an R4 without a box, no way to know if it's a clone or not and while researching I discovered there were several versions of wood... for clone and non-clone. (in the end nothing works on this R4 stuck on loading whatever system is used?. Defective I think

from my experience with my linkers I think there's a "Hard reset" mode (a soft one too with the stylus in the mouth ^__^) worth trying it might fix your problem!!
