JaicraB, releases the first worldwide custom firmware for playstation 3, it's more specifically a kind of "Sneek" (see wii section) for your PS3 allowing you to emulate the dev_flash on a USB stick.

This program lets you simulate the dev_flash from the USB. Allowing a Custom Firmware. We can modify the files of our new dev_flash (USB) as we please, without running any risk of actually bricking the console.

Note from Tgames: Technically speaking, it will therefore be possible to enjoy the benefits of 3.42 (online) over USB, while actually staying on 3.41. Even the possibility of installing future custom firmwares without risk.

Needed:

• Syscall PEEK and POKE.
• Only compatible with PSGroove 1.1 (doesn't work with PSJailbreak)

Installation:

1. Copy, using "FTP server", the entire content of /dev_flash onto the USB stick (at the root).
2. Also copy JaiC_USB_FIRM_LOADER.pkg to the root of the USB stick.
3. Install the package.

Use:

1. Insert the USB stick into the PS3.
2. Launch USB LOADER FIRM. After a few seconds it returns to the XMB. The new firmware will be loaded.

To exit the custom firmware, simply turn off the console completely.

JaicraB, sors le premier custom firmware mondial pour playstation 3, il s'agit plus particulièrement d'un sorte de "Sneek" (voir section wii) pour votre PS3 permettant d'émuler le dev_flash sur une clef USB.

Ce programme permet de simuler le dev_flash depuis l'USB. Permettant un Custom Firmware. Nous pouvons modifier les fichiers de notre nouveau dev_flash (USB) à notre guise, sans courir le moindre risque de brick réelle de la console.

Note de Tgames : Techniquement parlant il sera donc possible de profiter des bénéfices de la 3.42 (online) en USB, tout en restant en 3.41 réellement. Voire la possibilité d'installer de futur customs firmwares sans risque.

Necessaire:

• Syscall PEEK and POKE.
• Compatible uniquement avec PSGroove 1.1 (ne fonctionne pas avec le PSJailbreak)

Installation:

1. Copier grâce à "FTP server" le contenu entier du /dev_flash sur la clef USB (au root).
2. Copier le JaiC_USB_FIRM_LOADER.pkg aussi au root de la clef USB.
3. Installer le package.

Utilisation:

1. Insérer la clef USB dans la PS3.
2. Lancer USB LOADER FIRM. Après quelques secondes il retourne au XMB. Le nouveau firmware sera chargé.

Pour quitter le custom firmware il suffit d'éteindre complétement la console.
