Preloader 0.26

Crediar updates his Preloader, a homebrew that installs a sort of custom starfall.

Once installed, you'll be able to load the System Menu, the Homebrew Channel, or a boot.dol.

Significant risk of bricking but lower since the first version.

Usage:
Hold down the RESET button while starting the console.

New features/fixes:

- Added elf file loading (possibility to load white-linux!)
- Added an option to load preloader or the systemmenu when the return-to state is used.
- The systemmenu hacks list is now scrollable, thus allowing an unlimited number of hacks
- Rewrote the installer
- Improved interface
- Fixed the online update
- Fixed returning to the systemmenu, which loaded the preloader instead
- Fixed the function that turns off the Wii from the systemmenu, which loaded the preloader instead.
- Fixed a bug in the "Install/Load File" menu that let you exit the list
- Fixed the loading of the systemmenu for all systemmenu versions
- Fixed a bug on the stuck-systemmenuhack option
- Fixed a bug where a connected nunchuck prevented the systemmenu from loading
- Fixed a bug that caused the Wii to freeze when the Power button was pressed
- Fixed a bug where only the 1st Wiimote was turned off when the Wii was also shutting down.

Crediar met à jour son Preloader, un homebrew qui installe un sorte de starfall mais personnalisé.

Une fois installé, vous pourrez charger le System Menu, la Chaine Homebrew, ou un boot.dol.

Risque de brick important mais moindre depuis la première version.

Utilisation :
Maintenez le bouton RESET enfoncé pendant le lancement de la console.

Nouveautés/corrections :

- Ajout du chargement de fichiers elf (possibilité de charger white-linux!)
- Ajout d'une option pour charger preloader ou le systemmenu lorsque le return-to state est utilisé.
- La liste de hack du systemmenu est désormais scrollable permettant ainsi un nombre illimité de hacks
- Ré-écriture de l'installer
- Amélioration de l'interface
- Correction de la mise à jour en ligne
- Correction du retour au systemmenu, qui chargeait le preloader à la place
- Correction de la fonction permettant d'éteindre la Wii depuis le systemmenu, qui chargeait le preloader à la place.
- Correction d'un bug dans le menu "Install/Load File" qui permettait de sortir de la liste
- Correction du chargement du systemmenu pour toutes les versions du systemmenu
- Correction d'un bug sur l'option stuck-systemmenuhack
- Correction d'un bug lorsqu'un nunchuck était connecté, celui-ci empêchait le chargement du systemmenu
- Correction d'un bug qui provoquait un freeze de la Wii lorsque le bouton Power était pressé
- Correction d'un bug lorsque seule la 1ere Wiimote était éteinte lorsque la Wii était en cours d'extinction également.

The installed 0.26 works without any issues.

For info I had the 0.25, and it reports that an update is available if you stay a certain amount of time on the preloader without doing anything. But apparently the update is impossible (bug in version 0.25).

For my part:
- uninstalled hack.ini from the NAND with the utility found in this topic: here
- launched systemmenu-v290.wad from bushing's 3.2e update dvd
- normal install, as on a Wii that has never been preloaded.

edit: the advantage of this procedure is that it also gets rid of starfall. And since the new hack.ini allows what starfall allowed, that's nothing but good news!!

Le 0.26 installé marche sans soucis.

Pour info j'avais la 0.25, et il signal qu'une maj est valable si on reste un certain temps sur le préloader sans rien faire. Mais apparement la maj est impossible (bug de la version 0.25).

Pour ma part:
- désintalle du hack.ini dans la NAND avec l'utilitaire trouvé dans ce topic : ici
- lancement du systemmenu-v290.wad issu du dvd update 3.2e de bushing
- install normal, comme sur une wii jamais préloadé.

edit : l'avantage de cette procédure c'est que ça fait sauter starfall aussi. Et comme le nouveau hack.ini permet ce que permettai starfall, c'est que du bonheur !!
