Hi,
So I'm new on the forum.
I recently got a wii that was on 3.... (I don't remember exactly). My cousin updated it 2 weeks ago, and so I ended up with a wii on 4.3E. And I should mention this wii has never been hacked.
I wanted to know if there was a way to use the new hackmii installer (v.0.7) to hack my wii; because you need bannerbomb to be able to launch HBC; and the latest Bannerbomb (v.2) is only compatible with 4.2 wiis :-/
Do you have a solution?
Downgroader maybe? Or go through another prog. than Bannerbomb to be able to install HBC?

Je voulais savoir si y'avait un moyen d'utiliser le nouveau hackmii installer (v.0.7) pour hacker ma wii; parce qu'il faut avoir bannerbomb pour pouvoir lancer HBC; et le dernier Bannerbomb (v.2) n'est compatible qu'avec les wii 4.2 :-/
Vous avez une solution ?

I went fishing for info and on Wii-Info, there's a guy who directly reinstalled over it (bootmii/boot2). It's not very cautious but hey, it worked for him!

You need indiana pwins with lego indiana jones 1 to run unsigned code.

You also need IOS41.

Then, you have to restore the trucha exploit.

But anyway, there's a tutorial on that anyway.

Il te faut indiana pwins avec lego indiana jones 1 pour lancer du code non signé.

Il te faut aussi l'IOS41.

Ensuite, faut restaurer le failles trucha.

Mais bon, y'a un tuto la-dessus toute façon.

On wii.gx they say

Once you've installed HBC v1.0.7, you can safely do the 4.3 update.

But doesn't that wipe out everything else? (what we installed for the hack)

Thanks for the info and the feedback. But personally I don't think I'll update right away. Having bootmii IOS I'm happy to be able to launch it via Preloader, so for now the ID change bothers me a bit... While waiting for a Priiloader update I'll stay on 1.0.6.

Merci pour les infos et les retours. Mais bon perso je ne pense pas faire la MAJ tout de suite. Ayant bootmii IOS je suis content de pouvoir le lancer via Preloader, du coup pour l'instant le changement d'ID me derange un peu... En attendant une MAJ Priiloader je resterai donc en 1.0.6.

But hey, I reinstalled bootmii/boot2 and so my HBC is detected again.

Long live 1.0.7 when you have bootmii/boot2!!

I had problems during the installation!!! the hbc was flawless, but with bootmii in boot2 it took longer: actually it prepared my sd card poorly which resulted in bootmii not showing up anymore (that's scary^^), so as a fix I chose the hbc installer option and formatted my sd, then reinstalled everything (prepare sd bootmii hbc)

J'ai eu des probleme lors de l installation !!! la hbc nickel , mais avec bootmii en boot2 ca a ete plus long : en fait il preparer mal ma carte sd se qui avait pour consequence de ne plus m afficher bootmii(ca sa craigner^^), dc pour soluce une choix hbc installer g format ma sd ,puis tout reinstalle(prepare sd bootmii hbc)

Si c'est pour avoir 2 HBC, j'attendrais si j'avais que bootmii/IOS!!

Mais bon, je l'ai en boot2 alors ...

I who am still on 4.1 (and don't plan on putting 4.2 or 4.3 for now) already had bootmii in boot 2 and in Ios, as well as the HBC 1.0.6, I did the update via wifi, and I (re)installed everything, bootmii in boot 2, in Ios and the HBC (I didn't uninstall anything before) and it works well, Bootmii flawless, the HBC too (even though I have to go back to the system menu twice for it to work, because the first time it falls back on the HBC)
Otherwise bootmii sees the HBC, but priiloader no longer does because of the ID change, so I'll just wait for a Priiloader update

Super nice the HBC, but the fonts are barely visible I find (but readable )

PS: to remove bootmii at startup, what do I need to change in the .ini?

moi qui suis toujours en 4.1 (et je ne pense pas mettre 4.2 ou 4.3 pour l'instant) j'avais deja bootmii en boot 2 et en Ios, ainsi que la HBC 1.0.6, Jai fait la Maj via le wifi, et jai tout (re)installer, bootmii en boot 2, en Ios et la HBC (jai rien desinstaller avant) et ca marche bien, Bootmii nickel, la HBC aussi (meme si je doit faire 2 fois le retour vers le menu system pour que ca marche, car la 1ere fois, ca retombe sur la HBC)
Sinon bootmii voit la HBC, mais plus priiloader vu le changement d'ID, donc j'attendrai juste une Maj Priiloader

Super beau la HBC, mais les police c'est a moitier visible je trouve (mais lisible )

PS : pour enlever bootmii au demarrage, c'est quoi qu'il faut modifier dans le .ini ?

install bootmii boot2
install bootmii ios
install hbc
uninstal dvdx (for those who had it)

And that's it... And besides, there's no order

Otherwise, about the new look... Meh, personally, I don't really like it: too dark for my taste, it hurts my eyes.
The new features on the other hand are pretty good ^^

More seriously, if his exploit was patched, if he can't find another one or doesn't feel like it anymore, then alas no, there won't be other versions.
But don't lose hope, he's not the only one looking for exploits Otherwise, invest in lego indiana jones! It's not worth much used!

Plus sérieusement, si sa faille a été bouchée, si il n'en trouve pas d'autre ou si il n'a plus envie, alors hélas non, il n'y aura pas d'autres versions.

So, actually when I look at all this, since there's no bannerbomb, and since I can't manage to find a Lego Indiana Jones (I've been to more than a dozen shops...), for me it's dead ... will I never be able to crack my 4.3E wii?

Donc ,en fait quand je regarde tout ca , comme il n'y a pas de bannerbomb , et comme je n'arrive pas a trouver de Lego Indiana Jones ( j'ai fais plus d'une douzaine de magasins...) , pour moi c'est mort ... je ne pourrai jamais craquer ma wii 4.3E ?

If you had an NTSC wii you could have used the "smash stack" hack with Super Smash Bros Brawl... Search online for Lego Indiana Jones!!! It shouldn't cost too much on Ebay, Priceminister, etc

Si tu avais une wii NTSC tu aurais pu utiliser le hack "smash stack" avec Super Smash Bros Brawl... Cherche sur internet Lego Indiana Jones !!! Il doit pas couter trop cher sur Ebay, Priceminister, etc

Once the reasonably priced lego indiana jones run out, the other solution will be to buy a solderless chip compatible with your drive (around 30 euros) and burn the iso (google is your friend ^^). Yeah, that works too.

Une fois les lego indiana jones à prix raisonnable serons épuisés, l'autre solution sera d'acheter une puce sans soudure compatible avec votre lecteur (30euros environ) et de graver l'iso (google est votre ami ^^). Ben oui, ça le fait aussi.

Plus, if you brick your wii and haven't installed bootmii, you'll be able to unbrick it with the HBC iso
Two uses for a reasonable price. However, are the newer wiis compatible with the chips?

En plus, si tu brick ta wii et que tu n'as pas installé bootmii, tu pourras la debriquer avec l'iso de la HBC
Double emploi pour un prix raisonnable. Cependant, les nouvelles wii sont elles compatibles avec les puces ?

I did quite a bit of research on the "hacking" of a never-hacked 4.3 wii. I'm a bit lost among all the tutorials I found; some saying you had to download several things, others where there's almost nothing to download.
Could someone create or point me to ONE tutorial that describes everything you need and everything you need to do, please? ^^

PS: do we use the boot.elf from hackwii installer 0.7 for the hacking via the Légo indiana jones game?

J'ai fait pas mal de recherche sur le "hackage" d'une wii 4.3 jamais hackée. Je suis un peu perdu dans tous les tutos que j'ai trouvé; certains disant qu'il fallait télécharger plusieurs trucs, d'autres où y'a presque rien à télécharger.
Est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait créer ou me diriger vers UN tuto qui décrit tout ce qu'il faut et tout ce qu'il faut faire, s'il vous plait ? ^^

The hackmii installer 0.7 works naturally! Actually, any .dol file works.
If you want to hack your wii, go to Wii-addict or Wii-info, which are very good sites (though their forum doesn't come close to Tgames ) since the forum doesn't offer a tutorial yet. And if you get stuck at some step, don't hesitate to ask, it's always better to ask something than to brick your wii

Le hackmii instaler 0.7 passe naturellement ! En fait, n'importe quel fichier en .dol marche.
Si tu veux hacker ta wii, va sur Wii-addict ou Wii-info qui sont de trés bon site (mais dont leur forum n'arrive pas à la cheville de Tgames ) puisque le forum ne propose pas encore de tuto. Et si tu bloque à une étape, surtout n'hésite pas à demander, c'est toujours mieux de demander qqch plutot que de bricker sa wii
