StartPatch for 4.3E

I'm releasing today the very first version of StartPatch for 4.3E.
Like the other versions, this one installs patches for the 4.3E system menu.

List of patches:

• Disable HAXX, DVDX, RZDx Checks
• Block Disc Updates
• Block Online Updates
• Region Free Channels
• Region Free GC Games No VM Patch
• Remove NoCopy Protection (Need To Install ALL Five)
• Move Disc Channel
• No Menu BG Music
• Recovery Mode 4th GC DPad UP
• Remove Diag Disc Check
• Auto-Press A At Health Screen
• Replace Health Screen With Black

Je sort aujourd'hui même, la première version de StartPatch pour 4.3E.
A l'instar des autres versions celle-ci installe des patchs pour le system menu 4.3E.

I haven't yet had the chance to do a 4.3 but it's starpatch that I'm going to install when I need to!!

Yes I just bought it, it's part of the new bundle with the 2 Wii Sports games. So as soon as I bought it, it was on 4.3 :s

I'd like a small clarification:

I think I was on 4.1 when I used PIMP MY WII 2.0.2 to update the Wii.
So I have the IOS and channels... of 4.3 but I'm not on 4.3.

Which version of STARPATCH should I take: the 4.1 one?

Should I go by the firmware reported by the Wii itself even if I updated the IOS?

Donc j'ai les IOS et chaines ... de la 4.3 mais je ne suis pas en 4.3.

Quelle version de STARPATCH faut il prendre : Celle de la 4.1. ?

Faut il se baser pour le fimware de référence sur l'info rapportée par la WII même si on a mis à jour les IOS ?

The firmware shown in the wii settings
This program only patches the system menu, the IOS are not patched or modified

Le firmware indiqué dans les paramètres wii
Ce programme patch uniquement le système menu, les IOS ne sont pas patché ni modifié

Hello, I'm taking the liberty of posting in this existing topic since my problem concerns the StartPatch 4.3E homebrew.
Let me explain, yesterday I decided to hack my Wii v4.3 (PAL) to play import games (Wii NTSC-J and Gamecube NTSC-US and J).
At first I wanted to downgrade it to v3.2 (a version where my Freeloader Wii wouldn't be blocked by the console). So I installed the Homebrew Channel, BootMii, IOS 236 Installer v5 and cIOSX rev21 and Configurable Usb Loader 67 (anyway... because I don't like playing with backups).

For information, I followed this tutorial that I found before coming across your forum:

Everything went very well up to that point.
Then, I read that on v4.3, the Wii no longer needed to be downgraded. And I found the homebrew StartPatch 4.3E (which gives me "Region Free Wii Games" and "Region Free GC Games No VM Patch") which sent me back to this topic.
I access this homebrew and its install via the Homebrew Channel but there's an issue, when I get to the page:

StartPatch V4.3.1
Selected IOS for StartPatch <249>
Press LEFT/RIGHT to select other different IOS
Press A to continue (TAKE THE RISK).
Press B to abort.

So I press A leaving the default IOS 249.
-> Ex Identied ErrorError 1029
Returning to loader

Same problem with another IOS.

Have you had this problem? And how did you fix it?

Je m'explique, j'ai decide hier de hacker ma Wii v4.3 (PAL) pour jouer a des jeux imports (Wii NTSC-J et Gamecube NTSC-US et J).

Hi,

I advise you to switch to priiloader. Same patch as starpatch with the added benefit of protecting against certain significant bricks.

je te conseil de passer au priiloader. Même patch que starpach avec des avantages en plus protègent de certain brick non négligeable.

I had stuck with my StartPatch idea without really looking for an alternative. So I managed to get Priiloader running. Some slowdown issues with "Dairantou Smash Brothers X" and "Baten Kaitos Origins" but I had gone overboard with the hacks to activate in the Settings Menu. And by only checking the Region Free ones everything works flawlessly.

J'etais reste sur mon idee de StartPatch sans vraiment chercher d'alternative. J'ai donc reussi a faire tourner Priiloader. Quelques soucis de ralentissements avec "Dairantou Smash Brothers X" et "Baten Kaitos Origins" mais j'avais ete trop gourmand avec les hacks a activer dans le Menu Settings. Et en cochant uniquement les Region Free tout fonctionne niquel.
