Public version of the preloader

hi everyone I just read on **** that crediar released a public version of preloader.

preloader is a utility that replaces the system menu.

here are the functions of preloader:
-Launch the homebrew channel
-Launch the Wii Menu
-Launch a "boot.dol" file placed at the root of your SD card

PS: I haven't tested it so I can't tell you if it works and I'll add that it would carry a certain risk of bricking.

Actually, I find it works really well, I've already installed it on two wiis (including mine) and had no issues

A Vrai dire, je trouve qu'il marche vachement bien, je l'ai déjà installé sur deux wii (dont la mienne) et j'ai eu aucun souci

But I didn't quite understand what this menu is for?
I don't think there's much interesting stuff, or maybe I missed something

It's used to run a sort of "starfall" (even if that has nothing to do with it! It's just an example ^^) but without Zelda, without a Gamecube controller, you can autoboot homebrews at console startup!! (like Menu patcher for launching backups via the disc channel...)

It's also very useful in case your console gets bricked...

Il sert à utiliser un sorte de "starfall" (même si sa n'as rien à voir ! C'est un exemple ^^) mais sans Zelda, sans Manette Gamecube, on peut ainsi booter des homebrew en autoboot au démarrage de la console !! (genre Menu patcher pour lancer les backups via la chaîne disque...)

C'est aussi très utile en cas de brick de ta console...

You can repair your wii without Zelda! That's more what I mean

PS: Just a reminder, Starfall alone doesn't let you do much, but StarFall + Gamecube controller + Zelda + Twilight Hack save = you can boot a homebrew and repair the wii!

personally I don't find much use for the preloader ... I get the impression it slows down the wii menu boot, no?

EDIT: I can't manage to uninstall it it gives me something like:
hack.ini ... failed!
restart in 5 seconds ...
