WiiFlow 4.2.1 r441 [updated: 31/12]

I still don't see a FAT or NTFS partition, it's nothing but WBFS but with numbers next to it, would it support several WBFS partitions? do you need an NTFS partition with the wbfs folder and the games in that folder? or do the games just need to be in the partition and not in the wbfs folder?

Je ne voit pas encore de partition FAT ou NTFS, c'est rien des WBFS mais avec des chiffres a coté, il supporterait plusieurs partitions WBFS? il faut bien avoir une partition NTFS avec le dossier wbfs et les jeux dans ce dossier? ou bien il faut juste les jeux dans la partition et pas dans le dossier wbfs?

@MickeyBlue: first having games or not on the partition doesn't prevent you from selecting it. Then, how is your HDD partitioned? (only NTFS, FAT+NTFS...). Is the partition properly set active?

What do you mean by active?

Tu entend quoi par active?

* Go to Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management
* Go to Disk Management then right click on your drive
and click Mark Partition as Active

* Allez dans Panneau de configuration - Outils d’administration - Gestion de l'ordinateur
* Allez dans Gestion des disques puis faite un click droit sur votre lecteur
et cliquez sur Marquer la partition comme active

Well I don't understand why I always only get wbfs partitions and also WBFS_Open -1 error yet I did set the partition active as you advised

Bon ben je comprend pas pourquoi j'ai toujours que des partitions wbfs et aussi WBFS_Open -1 error j'ai pourtant bien mis la partition active comme tu l'a conseiller

I looked at r39's changes on the SVN.
Actually it's in the fat_ntfs branch, so are the new features unavailable for the WBFS version or does the fat_ntfs version also do WBFS?

J'ai regardé les modifs de la r39 sur le SVN.
En fait c'est dans la branche fat_ntfs, donc les nouveautés sont pas dispos pour la version WBFS ou la version fat_ntfs fait aussi WBFS ?

Are you going about it wrong?? no I don't think so, there's nothing special to do. And r-win told me that having the partitions active or not doesn't change anything.

Hello, I had version R32 of wii, I wanted to switch to version R39, I noticed that it told me the ios 222 message was needed, I followed the tutorial on the same site to crack the wii, but for ios 222 I skipped it because it was optional (reserved for those who had guitar hero..)
so from now on for the other versions of wiiflow am I required to install this ios 222?
if so should I follow the tutorial on
tutoriels-wii/hack-wii-4-2e-t3175.html?

Bonjour, j'avais la version R32 de wii, g voulu passer a la version R39, je me suis aperçu que cela m'indiquait le message ios 222 nécéssaire, j'ai suivi le tuto sur le meme site pour cracker la wii, mais pour le ios 222 j'ai passé car c'était facultatif ( réservé a ceux qui avait guitar hero..)
donc dorénavant pour les autres versions de wiiflow je suis obligé d'installé cet ios 222 ?

@mozemaster: Yes you need IOS222 v4 for r39 or take r41 which would be compatible with v4 and v5. I haven't tested.

I tested this morning myself. r-win added ios 224 and tried to make wiiflow compatible with hermes' rev5 but:
with ios 223 as ios37... Disc_setwbfs failed
with ios 224 as ios57... please wait and... nothing else.

edit: autoboot with priiloader or preloader doesn't work

moi j'ai testé ce matin. r-win a ajouter l'ios 224 et a essayer de rendre wiiflow compatible avec la rev5 d'hermes mais :

I updated language.ini.

Now totally (I think I haven't forgotten anything) compatible from rev36 onwards.

J'ai mis à jour language.ini.

Maintenant totalement (je pense n'avoir rien oublié) compatible à partir de la rev36.

Well I'm here to ask if you'd be willing to help me make r-win understand that there are users who don't want the Hermes cIOS at all and yet since r36 we're forced into it!!

I already posted Issue 136 on googlecode https://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/issues/detail?id=136 but since I know that Jiwah is in contact with r-win, I thought you might be able to have a word with him about it!!
Anyway for those who want the r41 compatible with Waninkoko cIOS, a Canadian made it on the official thread on GBAtemp

I don't see what you have against hermes' cios. Without it, it was impossible to launch SSBB and MPT when we only had rev14. personally I wouldn't even mention it to r-win.

Je ne vois pas ce que tu reproche au cios d'hermes. Sans lui il était impossible de lancer SSBB et MPT quand on avait que la rev14. perso j'en parlerais même pas a r-win.

But I have nothing against the Hermes cIOS at all, I'm just saying that we don't necessarily need it and that it would be normal for Wiiflow to become compatible again with Waninkoko's cIOS (for all those who don't care about NTFS).
Do you know that the loader clearly refuses to launch if you don't have the Hermes cIOS on the wii? and no way currently to force the use of 249.

Sais-tu que le loader refuse clairement de se lancer si on a pas le cIOS Hermes sur la wii ? et aucun moyen a l'heure actuel de forcer l'utilisation du 249.

But not everyone doesn't care about NTFS. And since waninkoko's latest cios can integrate an ios of choice for installation which might make wiiflow stop working. So r-win is making wiiflow compatible for everyone. Even waninkoko recommends installing his cIOS as ios57 which makes cIOS 222 as ios38 essential for installing wads and other nand modifications.

And having several wiiflows, one based on 222 and another on 249 risks creating confusion as has already happened.

Donc r-win rend wiiflow compatible pour tous. Même waninkoko conseil d'installer son cIOS en ios57 ce qui rend le cIOS 222 en ios38 indispensable pour l'installation de wad et autre modification de la nand.

that's not the issue, I do have the Hermes cIOS! The issue is that Wiiflow has become, along with Uloader (but for uloader it's "normal"), the only loaders to force users to use a specific cIOS!
Don't tell me it's hard to make the loader able to run under one or the other cIOS. Wiiflow could very well try to launch on 222 and if it doesn't find it launch under 249 with a message saying that NTFS support isn't possible under 249

Adding support for a new filesystem isn't a reason to erase what's already been achieved I think.

la n'est pas le souci, je l'ai le cIOS Hermes ! Le souci c'est que Wiiflow est devenu avec Uloader (mais pour uloader c'est "normal") les seuls loaders à forcer les utilisateurs à l'utilisation d'un cIOS spécifique !
Ne me dites pas que c'est difficile de faire en sorte que le loader puisse tourner sous l'un ou l'autre des cIOS. Wiiflow peut trés bien chercher a se lancer sur le 222 et si ne le trouve pas se lance sous 249 avec un message comme quoi le support NTFS n'est pas possible sous 249

Le fait d'intégrer le support d'un nouveau systeme de fichiers n'est pas une raison pour effacer les acquis je pense.
