Image unavailable (removed by its host) Here's a method for using Wad Manager with cIOS 57 rev 19.
Yes! I do mean cIOS57 rev 19 because it's (quite) faster than cIOS38 rev 19 First of all, install the cIOS like this:
External content (video or audio) hidden: it sets its own cookies.

cios rev19 + wad.rar

Install hermes' cios 222 as IOS 38 (only choice)

Bien utiliser Wad Manager avec le cIOS rev 19

Then to install a wad:

- launch the Homebrew Channel
- go to "Wad Manager"
- Start it
- When choosing which IOS to use, pick IOS 222
- Install the wads you want

Note: There you go, if you take the time to choose IOS 222 every time you want to install a wad on Wad manager, installing the merge 57 of cios rev 18 is worth it, man's word!! cIOS 249 will be more efficient

thanks for the tuto so is cios57rev18 faster? so should I uninstall ciosx rev18?
I had taken ios 249 and taken ios 38 as base?
and to install this ios57 do I take 249, 38 or 36? and the wad provided in the pack at the root of the sd
because right now I'm a bit lost lol

on another note, you who have guitar hero... do you know if cios249 rev18 in ios57 is compatible with this kind of games or if you need to use cIOS223 rev5 in IOS37 (IOS38 merged with IOS37 actually)!!??

ok here are my tests

guitar hero 3 ok
guitar hero metallica, world tour, smash hits: guitar ok, usb support stubborn so no mic nor drums (mic works under ciospack 3.6 for me)
rockband 1 (pack 1 and pack 2): usb support stubborn so no mic nor drums nor guitar (mic and guitar work under ciospack 3.6 for me)
rockband 2 and beatles rockband: guitar ok, usb support stubborn so no mic nor drums (mic works under ciospack 3.6 for me)

PS: I don't have drums

hi everyone for me everything works perfectly with 19 except it no longer detects the usb port when my daughters play sing star it doesn't detect the mic which is indeed plugged into that port and when I go back to 17 everything works

But I don't know if we can really trust all these instrument tests, because some instruments aren't compatible with this or that game as we can see for example HERE

Cool they're classy, I have the "Les Paul" model so with CIOS 222 compatible with everything except rockband 1 and song pack 1 (as mentioned in the link above), otherwise I can also add compatible with Rockband Beatles and GH5.

What's faster with cIOS57 rev19? installing wads?

Moreover if that's the case, I don't see how that would be faster knowing you use Hermes' IOS222 to install your wads...

No it's loading games via USB that's faster. And you can't install wads with an ios57 base. The best is an ios38 base like hermes' 222 rev5.

aaaah but I never said it was slow. I said the loading times between rev19 on ios57 and the previous revs favored rev19. 6 seconds of difference on a test protocol on loading a race on sega racing.
