Patching the game is still mandatory even if the CIOS 38 Rev15 is installed.
The CIOS 38 Rev15 only brings a slight improvement in stability.

Le patchage du jeu est toujours obligatoire même si le CIOS 38 Rev15 est installé.
Le CIOS 38 Rev15 n'apporte qu'une légère amélioration de stabilité.

I have the version from the well-known spanish site, and no way to launch it from my usb key... I followed quite a few tutorials for the usb loader, it works fine with another game, but not NSMBW!!

I also of course tried patching my iso, same result. with gx black screen, with the base usbloader green screen ...

any idea?

j'ai la version du site espagnol bien connu, et pas moyen de le lancer depuis ma clé usb ... j'ai suivi pas mal de tuto pour l'usb loader, il fonctionne bien avec un autre jeu, mais pas NSMBW !!

j'ai bien sur essayé de patcher mon iso, même résultat. avec gx écran noir, avec l'usbloader de base écran vert ...

une idée ?

Well I think New Super Mario Bros Wii doesn't work over usb on first-generation Wiis on 4.2. Mine is from january 2007. I tried everything, cios rev 14, rev 15, USB Loader GX, Wiiflow, Uloader. Without the main.dol I get the error message and with the main.dol a nice black screen.
Maybe a future patch will fix the problem...

Bon je crois que New Super Mario Bros Wii ne fonctionne pas en usb sur les Wii première génération en 4.2. La mienne date de janvier 2007. J'ai tout essayé, cios rev 14, rev 15, USB Loader GX, Wiiflow, Uloader. Sans le main.dol j'ai le message d'erreur et avec le main.dol un bel écran noir.
Peut-être qu'un prochain patch resoudra le problème...

for me it works perfectly with rev 15, the cioscarp the usb loader gx with the err 2 correction active in the options; I have the spanish site version scrubbed

The patch works with usbLoaderGX, wii 3.2 E and the cIOS rev XX (latest one, installed last week with cIOS Installer v2.0)

well no, on dvd you can use Neogamma without even needing to patch it. for wiiflow it needs to be patched.

ben non, en dvd tu peux utiliser Neogamma sans même avoir besoin de le patcher. pour wiiflow il faut le patché.

so my wii4.2 unmodded launches the nsmb game directly like a real game with no usbloader or anything.
my brother-in-law's wii 4.2 unmodded with no usb loader or anything, my game launches on his console.
I burned an nsmb for him and it doesn't work.
I remember that when I made my dvd-r before I patched NSMB by extracting the main-dol, opening it with a piece of software and writing something but I don't remember what.
it's this technique I'm looking for if someone can help me.
